This brilliant Star Wars cosplay from Rose City Comic Con had Hayden Christensen himself recreating a truly iconic Star Wars' most powerful Jedi but also the end of the Jedi Order and the Republic. However, even before Anakin, the Jedi, and the Republic all fell, one jarring Revenge of the Sith moment proved how close Anakin already was to turning to the dark side.

Specifically, at Rose City Comic Con, Hayden Christensen posed with a Count Dooku cosplayer to recreate the Revenge of the Sith moment when Anakin Skywalker decapitated the Sith Lord. The cosplay image, posted by joshuataylorisalright on Instagram, captured this moment perfectly, down to the very last detail—including Anakin wielding one blue lightsaber and one red one.

Ultimately, this moment in which Anakin brutally killed Count Dooku with his own lightsaber was just one of many instances in the prequels where Anakin revealed his darker nature and the path he was already on.

While Anakin Skywalker's issues with anger and hate are well-known, he struggled with a number of flaws that ultimately led him to the dark side.

Anakin's Concerning Behavior Was There From The Very Beginning

George Lucas faced considerable backlash for introducing Anakin as a sweet young boy in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace because many had been expecting the prequels to begin with Darth Vader's rise to power, perhaps beginning with him as an already fairly evil teen at the very earliest. In part, having Anakin begin as an innocent, even kind young boy was intended to show that even the most pure person can be twisted and manipulated to become evil. However, even when Anakin was a young boy, all the warning signs were there.

Yes, as the Jedi Council rightly predicted, Anakin's attachment to his mother and his associated feelings of fear did lead him down the path to the dark side, particularly because he ended up feeling quite the same way about Pé, which was really the final nail in the proverbial coffin. However, even outside Anakin's worrisome feelings and his older age, his behavior already indicated the type of Jedi he would become. In fact, while Anakin's involvement in the Battle of Naboo has become a charming aspect of the character, it really revealed one of Anakin's many flaws.

Qui-Gon Jinn had told Anakin to stay in the ship, and Anakin found a technicality around that. He did remain in the ship, but he did so while engaging in the battle. Although seemingly minor, this type of defiant behavior would inform much of Anakin's Jedi journey throughout Star Wars movies and TV shows, most notably his willingness to defy the Jedi rules and have a romantic relationship.

This moment with Count Dooku is perhaps one of the more obvious signs that Anakin was on a path to the dark side, as was his slaughter of the Tusken Raiders. However, in truth, there were many signs, even when he was an adorable little kid. This cosplay really does perfectly recreate that moment, and, thrillingly, it even sees Hayden Christensen himself step back into the role of Anakin Skywalker during this influential moment from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
