Disney Plus, where the 7th and final season premiered in 2020.
Season 5 was a slight cliffhanger, ending with a shocking revelation. At the time, with no security of an season and no loose ends tied up, it wasn't the ideal conclusion for a series finale. Season 6 on the other hand wrapped things up with an optimistic view. The focus set up not just the end of the war, but what's to come after it, making way for the original trilogy.

Season 6 had a fairly solid series finale, but season 7 tied everything together to the rest of the franchise far better. While Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi, but another character. Combined, Revenge of the Sith and the season 7 finale offer a well-rounded explanation of the tragedy that ends the Jedi. Seasons 5 and 6 may have been endings, but season 7 was the conclusion the audience was waiting for.
Season 5 Finale: Ahsoka Leaves the Jedi Order
In season 5, episode 20 “The Wrong Jedi,” Ahsoka Tano is expelled from the Jedi Order after being framed for an attack on the Jedi temple. When her innocence is proven she’s asked to re but hesitates - the Jedi didn’t trust her when it mattered, and thus she leaves the Order. Five is an odd series finale, largely because it was not intended to be one - as Lucasfilm had already been working on the next season prior to leaving Cartoon Network. Thus, nothing was wrapped up via this finale, but no one knew when the next season would air or that it definitely would, making watching fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano leave the Jedi stressful and sad. Thankfully, season 5 was not the end.
Season 6 Finale: Yoda’s Journey
For the season 6 finale, fans were treated to a Yoda focused arc where he ventured out to learn the path of immortality in the hope of saving the Jedi. In the end, Yoda is told a crucial piece of information: "There is another Skywalker." Deemed the finale for six years, this storyline offers some closure (more so than season 5) while setting up for the next phase. Audiences already knew that Anakin Skywalker would turn to the dark side and that the Jedi Order would fall, along with the Republic, so Lucasfilm focused on the big picture and made reference to the events after the Clone Wars, lightly setting up the new hope, Luke Skywalker.
Season 7: Order 66
In a dramatic conclusion, Ahsoka Tano and clone commander Captain Rex fought for survival as the clone troopers turned on them during Order 66, the elimination of the Jedi. In the latter half of the season, references are made to Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, counting down to two major moments; Anakin Skywalker falling to the dark side, followed by the execution of Order 66, both significant and heartbreaking events in the Star Wars universe. Since viewers had ideally already seen Anakin's side of it in Revenge of the Sith, it made sense to show the other side of the juncture, and what this ordeal looked like for those not in the proverbial eye of the storm.
With that in mind, despite the pressure of this being Star Wars: The Clone Wars actual conclusion, it's safe to say season 7's finale is the very best.
