The major battle between the First Order and the Resistance in The Last Jedi’s finale is a total bore.

In Star Wars: Legacy - War by John Ostrander and Jan Duursema, Darth Krayt - who is the sitting Emperor at this point in time - has decided to wage war against both the Jedi Order and the remnant of the Fel Empire that still opposed him. While the Imperial forces mixed with the power of the Jedi did present Darth Krayt with a challenge, it became clear that Krayt was more than prepared to deal with whatever his enemies threw at him.

Not only did Darth Krayt command an army of Sith Lords as well as Sith Troopers (all of whom wielded red lightsabers), but he also had the advantage in space battles. It wasn’t that his navy was notably bigger than that of his enemies, but that Krayt’s starships were far deadlier, with the two standout models being the Dragon Ships and the Annihilator-class Starfighters - both of which were manufactured by the One Sith in secret on Korriban.

One of the Dragon Ships was used as Darth Krayt’s personal flagship, which he flew into battle both over Coruscant to reaffirm his rule as Emperor, and to the Hidden Temple of the Jedi. As proven in the many splash-pages featuring this epic space battle, the Dragon Ships proved to be utterly devastating for the Fel Imperial and Jedi forces - just like the Annihilator-class Starfighter.

The Annihilator-class Starfighters were faster and more maneuverable than any other starfighter in the galaxy, and are arguably even deadlier than the Dragon Ships, as their smaller sizes allowed for greater maneuverability. However, the real standout aspect of these ships is that they were essentially fueled by the dark side, as it was through the dark side that the pilot and their ship would become one. This made each starfighter that much deadlier in battle, as the pilot was literally a part of the ship, utterly consumed by the dark side.

Star Wars Fans May Not Have Seen the Last of These Ships

The One Sith Survived Star Wars: Legacy, Meaning These Ships Could Return

Perhaps the coolest part about these Sith ships is that Star Wars fans may not have seen the last of them. After Cade Skywalker killed Darth Krayt, the remaining One Sith retreated, and Darth Nihl (who became the new One Sith following Krayt’s death) ordered that the Dragons and Annihilators be hidden. While Star Wars: Legacy has technically come to a close, there’s always a chance this chapter of Star Wars could be revisited. At which point, this Sith armada could make its return.

Order 66 wiped out the majority of Star Wars' Jedi, but that doesn't mean Palpatine's bloody ambush was a complete success, as 1 crucial Jedi survived

Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Supremacy may have been an impressive ship that would have single-handedly ended the Resistance if not for the Holdo Maneuver, but it is honestly boring compared to the ships used by the One Sith in Star Wars: Legacy - ships that, hopefully, Star Wars fans will see again in the future.
