The final trailer for Star Trek: The Next Generation crew, and the sizzle reel contains some big Easter eggs and clues. The previous Star Trek: Picard season 3 trailer released during New York Comic Con last October featured the saga's villains, including Captain Vadic (Amanda Plummer), Lore (Brent Spiner), and Professor James Moriarty (Daniel Davis). The Picard season 3 final trailer introduces two new characters played by Todd Stashwick and Ed Speleers, who are newcomers to the Star Trek family.

Paramount+ released the final trailer for Star Trek: Picard season 3 during the AFC Championship game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs, no doubt to get as many mainstream eyes as possible on the biggest Star Trek show in years.

The Star Trek: Picard season 3 final trailer features footage of lots of space battles, phaser fights, and glimpses at all of the key TNG players, including Captain Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes, Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), Worf (Michael Dorn), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), and Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), as well as the only two comeback kids from the previous seasons of Star Trek: Picard, Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd). But for the diehard TNG fans and the eagle-eyed viewers, the Star Trek: Picard season 3 final trailer also had the following goodies you might have missed:

22 Bosun Whistle

Picard Bosun Whistle

When iral Picard and Captain Riker are welcomed to the bridge of the USS Titan-A by its First Officer, Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), a Starfleet ensign blows into a high-tech bosun whistle. The bosun or boatswain whistle is an old naval tradition, and it's also used in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan as well as some of the other Star Trek films. Starfleet is an intergalactic peacekeeping and exploratory armada, but the bosun whistle is a reminder that its structure and traditions are based on the navies of Earth's past.

21 The USS Titan-A's Captain Played By Todd Stashwick

Picard Titan Captain

The Captain of the USS Titan-A, played by Todd Stashwick, is seen for the first time in Star Trek: Picard season 3's final trailer. Twitter revealed that the Picard and Riker hints that he's not much of a fan of the Enterprise legends. Stashwick previously worked with Picard showrunner Terry Matalas on 12 Monkeys, and Shaw doesn't seem too pleased with Picard and Riker's presence aboard his ship, especially since Riker was the previous Captain of the Titan.

20 "Crash Landing Expectedly... Or Unexpectedly..."

Picard Crash Landing

Captain Shaw mocks Riker and Picard's previous adventures and promises he won't allow their type of Starfleet heroics. This includes a reference to starships "crash landing expectedly... or unexpectedly...", which is an obvious hint to how the USS Enterprise-D crash-landed and was destroyed in Star Trek Generations. "Those were the days..." Picard reminisces to Riker.

19 The Enterprise-F Leads A Starfleet Armada

Picard USS Enterprise F

Worf ominously hints that "there is something coming... some kind of attack" where "Starfleet could be the target." Meanwhile, a shot of the USS Enterprise-F leading an armada of ships is shown, hinting that the Enterprise continues to be the flagship of the United Federation of Planets. Star Trek: Picard season 3 will be the first time the Enterprise-F will be shown in action, and hopefully it will reveal who its current Captain is.

18 Ed Speleers Plays A New Character

Picard Ed Speleers

Ed Speleers plays a mysterious new character in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Speleers played Eragon in the 2006 fantasy film, and Downton Abbey aficionados will recognize him as Jimmy the footman. The addition of the British actor is an interesting one, and the accompanying voice-over by Deanna Troi that she senses "a darkness... an all-consuming darkness" hints that Speleers could be in league with the villains led by Captain Vadic.

17 Raffi Gets Her Eyes Scanned

Raffi Eye

Commander Raffi Musiker gets some sort of eye scan in the Star Trek: Picard season 3 trailer. To what end isn't known, but it's worth ing that Raffi has a history of substance abuse. Could this eye scan be some kind of bizarre narcotic, indicating that Raffi has fallen off the wagon again? Raffi has always been a troubled soul and maybe her issues have returned in Picard season 3.

16 Captain Vadic Is Still A Mystery

Vadic and Enemy Picard

The Star Trek: Picard season 3 final trailer shed no new light on Captain Vadic, her goals, what species she is, and why she wants vengeance on Picard and the Federation. Vadic's hooded soldiers also don't line up with the looks and designs of known Star Trek aliens, hinting that they're all-new adversaries. However, strange veins or possibly scars are visible on the sides of Vadic's face. Could this be a clue that Vadic is genetically engineered, possibly the result of Project Khan teased in Star Trek: Picard season 2?

15 Is This New Starbase The Starfleet Museum?

New Picard Starbase

There were rumors that Star Trek: Picard season 3 would introduce a Starfleet Museum, and the final trailer has a shot of the USS Titan-A arriving in orbit around a new Starbase. A close look at this space station shows rings off its side that look like there are starships docked. This could be our first look at the Starfleet Museum, which is said to house the USS Voyager and prior versions of the USS Enterprise.

14 Geordi Looks Unhappy To See Picard

Geordi Mad At Picard

Geordi La Forge appears on the Titan's bridge viewscreen, and the former Enterprise Chief Engineer looks none too happy to see iral Picard. Could this be because the Titan is in danger, which means its helmsman, Ensign Sidney La Forge (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut), who is Geordi's daughter, is also in danger? La Forge is also rumored to be a Commodore in Star Trek: Picard season 3, which makes sense if he oversees a Starbase housing the Starfleet Museum.

13 A Mystery Chamber Makes Riker Smile

Mystery Chamber

The Star Trek: Picard season 3 trailer has a shot of Riker, Raffi, and Worf apparently on an away mission, where they enter some sort of mysterious chamber. Judging by its bright lighting, they're definitely not on a Borg ship, which always has an ominous green hue. But whatever the Starfleet heroes find in this chamber brings a smile to Captain Riker's face.
