Star Pieces are one of the two main collectibles in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. These tiny yellow diamonds can be found all across the game. They're used as currency by Dazzle, who runs a shop in Rogueport Sewers. Dazzle takes your Star Pieces in exchange for Badges, which give Mario useful buffs and abilities.
The main problem with Star Pieces is that there are 100 of them, hidden behind structures or under flipped tiles. You can pay Merluvlee, who lurks behind the green door near Dazzle, for hints as to the location of Star Pieces. Still, it's better to save your coins and find Star Pieces with a little free help.

How To Pick Yoshi Colors In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Picking out your favorite-colored Yoshi will take more than a button prompt in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, as it requires precision timing.
Every Star Piece Per Chapter
Some Star Pieces can be hard to find, as you need to unlock certain skills to access them. For example, you won't be able to flip s until Chapter 2. Each Star Piece is organized by chapter and area. The majority of Star Pieces can be found in Rogueport, although they won't be immediately available.
If you're worried you've missed something in this huge area, Trophygamer on YouTube has a video showcasing Rogueport Star Pieces in the modern remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
