A S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 player has posted a clip on Reddit of their failed stealth attempts due to a bizarre glitch. An issue with the AI enemies disappearing and teleporting behind the player has both captivated fans online due to the hilarious cutaway, but also opened up a discussion on the persistent issues with glitches in the game.

The FPS horror survival game was released in November 2024, being hugely anticipated due to the 15-year gap between Heart of Chornobyl and 2009's STALKER: Call of Pripyat. Ukraine-based developers GSC Game World suffered from GSC vowed to repair these quickly. Despite many of the main issues being resolved, players have still noticed some peculiar moments, demonstrated by the clip posted to Reddit.

Enemy Teleportation Wasn't An Intended Feature

Posted on the dedicated STALKER subreddit, StockDunce shared a meme from their gameplay in STALKER 2, showing the player sneaking through a derelict building and encountering a few guards. StockDunce proceeds to approach the rear of the guards before they each vanish into thin air. The player looks visibly confused, before turning around to notice that both the enemies mysteriously teleported behind them. Humorously, StockDunce cuts the video off when they face the enemies, with the popular "To Be Continued" meme utilized to full effect.

Redditors were quick to engage with the post, reaching 2000 upvotes at the time of writing, and over 100 comments which discussed the hilarity of the situation. Commenter TheDarnook quipped "teleports behind you...Nothing personnel [sic], kid," with another zefmdf praising the poster, as the "dude fully deleted them with no evidence. Pure stealth."

However, other s expressed frustrations at STALKER 2's stealth system for being unreliable, with Redditor BeefBriskit92 noting that "I feel like stealth does not work in this game, I love Stalker but am forced to just be guns blazing most of the time."
