Always on the lookout for top-notch agents to tackle the worst criminals, terrorists, and alien threats, Spy x Family's Forgers.
According to Stan Lee in Son of Origins of Marvel Comics, the top secret Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-Enforcement Division, as it was originally known, was established to battle HYDRA an equally secret organization bent on abject world domination. Lee chose Nick Fury to run S.H.I.E.L.D. because he believed no one better fit the role of a ruggedly tough but successful war hero with experience in fighting movements focused on taking over the world. Over the years, as HYDRA's abilities declined, Fury steered S.H.I.E.L.D. into being an organization more focused on stopping the most serious threats to world order including superheroes, supervillains, and their followers, and aliens bent on doing Earth harm. Naturally, with the stakes being so high, Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. are not looking for your average agent. Instead, Fury wants top-notch operatives who can handle the pressure.
As a "fake family" containing a spy, an assassin, a telepath, and a dog with precognition abilities, Forgers are just the type of special unit Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. would absolutely love to have. This is even more true when considering that Loid, Yor, Anya, and even Bond have extensive operational experience. On the one hand, all operate extremely well on their own. Perhaps this is best illustrated by Anya, who, besides her young age, has still been able to keep her powers a secret from everyone, including her parents who are in the business of perceiving who others are and their intentions. On the other hand, there is tremendous potential in what they can accomplish working as a unit, especially a unit that knows of each other's powers and abilities, and uses that knowledge to the group's advantage.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. Unit With The Perfect Cover
With the Forgers, Fury could cover all aspects of an operation. Including Loid's assistant Franky, who performs the more mundane aspects of an undercover operation, the Forgers make up a self-sustaining unit that can literally go deep undercover for years. They are the epitome of an "advanced persistent threat" to any target. Even working separately, and often at cross purposes, Loid's plan to get close to Donovan Desmond has been moving ahead with surprising success. How much more successful could they be if they were all on the same pages, and had the backing of S.H.I.E.L.D?
Working together for a common purpose is not that farfetched Spy x Family's Forgers. In fact, they have already done it many times. For instance, in Spy x Family Chapter 2, when the smuggling ring Loid just broke come back for revenge. Despite just having met, the couple takes out the bandits with other-worldly symmetry. Then in Chapter 3, this time working together, but without knowing each other's special abilities, they catch a purse-snatching robber. The harmony of their trades and was a sight to see, and would be sure to please Nick Fury if the cast of Spy X Family were working as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
