Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Predator vs. Spider-Man #1 (2025)

A new horrifically gory Spider-Man capable of subduing the alien creature. Abandoning its people’s ways to embrace its own sick sense of joy, this hunter is out for one thing and one thing alone: the faces of its helpless victims. Piece by piece, faces of fear are woven together to create a tapestry of horror, unlike anything ever seen before.

In Predator vs. Spider-Man #1 (2025) - by Benjamin Percy and Marcelo Ferreira - Marvel Comics introduces a monstrous addition to the Predator franchise with a Yautja Bad Blood so horrifically demented that no film could yet do it justice.

Nicknamed “Skinner,” this Predator has taken to the streets of New York City to inflict a surge of pure horror and panic as it flays the flesh of its still-living victims, leaving only malformed sinewy corpses of muscle and blood in its wake. However, these “pelts” aren’t just trophies to this Yautja, but are instead adorned as sickening mask-like decorations.

The Skinner Predator Puts On a Human Face While Covered In Blood

While New York City reels from one of the hottest summer days on record, Spider-Man has recently been tipped off about a string of gruesome murders that have been plaguing the city. A long string of bodies, skinned, hanged, and twisted in horror, have been popping up around the city as Marvel’s newest alien hunter leaves behind the scraps of what it believes is worthless compared to its ultimate prize. However, instead of erecting a monument to its conquests, the Skinner Predator prefers to wear its trophies instead as the gore and carrion are splashed against its scaly, hardened skin.

The Alien franchise's Xenomorph is considered the arch-rival of Predators' Yautja, but Marvel Comics just revealed the killers' true greatest prey.

Meanwhile, as Spider-Man attempts to hunt down the extraterrestrial threat, Skinner has already amassed a growing collection of excised faces. In the twisting tunnels that comprise New York City’s subway system, the Predator has already moved on to more populated areas, leaving behind the petty criminals it has hunted so far. Partially obscured by ing lights, Skinner reveals that its collection has already transformed into a tapestry of faces, stitched together to create a single, wearable, monument to its horrific string of gruesome murders. This Predator, more than most, takes an especially grand joy in its perverse hunting rituals.

This Predator Is Breaking Its Species' Rules To Play Its Own Game

"Bad Blood" Predators Are The Franchise's Most Dangerous Monsters

Flayed bodies hang from the ceiling while Spider-Man takes pictures.

While many Yautja adhere to a semi-strict code of honor that prohibits the hunter species from targeting explicitly weaker prey, this Predator seems to have already abandoned its people’s ways for its own appalling version of the hunt. These defiant Yautja, also known as Bad Bloods, are immediately rejected by the species’ society, only further driving the Predator to devolve into a monstrously sicker version of itself than it already is. However, Skinner is easily one of the franchise’s most gut-wrenchingly terrifying Bad Bloods yet as it revels in the sickening gore of its kills rather than the hunt itself.

Whether a person is weak or strong means nothing to this Yautja, only the satisfaction of adding a new prize to its growing weave of human faces.

Unfortunately for Spider-Man, this Predator isn’t stopping any time soon, as those closest to the web-swinging hero are the next to be targeted by the Skinner Predator’s deadly assault on New York City. Few can truly defend themselves from the universe’s greatest hunters and that’s especially true when the hunter doesn’t play by its species’ rules. Whether a person is weak or strong means nothing to this Yautja, only the satisfaction of adding a new prize to its growing weave of human faces.

Spider-Man must soon face a new brand of evil as death, blood, and gore flow from the faces of one Predator’s personal game of terror.
