Since he was Captain America: Civil War. Since Holland is the third actor to embody the role in the last decade, and the first to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans remain eager for any glimpse of the wall crawler they can get.
But even when footage of the newest Captain America film premiered at Disney's D23 convention, neither hide nor hair of the mild-mannered Parker or the web-slinger graced the screens. However, thanks to Holland's presence on social media, fans now have a glimpse at what may be the character's haircut.
On his Instagram, Holland revealed this intriguing look at his new coif. While he makes no direct reference to his character in this image, it does look suspiciously like Peter Parker in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series and comic book. Check out the image below:

Filming on Civil War has already wrapped, meaning whatever is going to be presented of Spider-Man has already been committed to celluloid -- which is a good thing, since the actor is apparently accident prone. But that's just the beginning of Holland's tour of duty as the character. He will, of course, return to the role in the Spider-Man solo film, due on July 28, 2017. It's worth noting, that in addition to the haircut, Holland has spent time preparing physically for the role. In this image, he shows off a lot of added muscle tone, and a gymnast's physique. This is perfect for the role of Spider-Man who is extremely strong, but also agile.
So, while we can't confirm that this is the hair cut Holland will use in Captain America: Civil War, or the untitled solo film, it's clear that the actor is doing his part to look the part. Given the collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, and Kevin Feige's take on the character, Holland may represent the definitive version of Spider-Man. And so far, so good.
