Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's possible Spider-Man: No Way Home appearance. Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men officially became MCU characters in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where they helped Tom Holland's Spider-Man fight and cure their enemies while also coming to with their own insecurities. The multiversal Spider-Men's first MCU appearance was short, but it left a big mark on Holland's wall-crawler.
Spider-Man: No Way Home culminated over twenty years' worth of cinematic history with a heartfelt homage to three movie franchises. But while it defied the odds at the box office during the COVID-19 lockdowns and earned itself a spot among the most successful MCU movies, Spider-Man: No Way Home faced quite a few challenges that forced it to stray away from Marvel's initial plans. Spider-Man: No Way Home's many cut scenes can be seen in the film's concept art. For example, one of these scrapped scenes featured Doctor Strange and Tom Holland's Spider-Man jumping between universes while fighting, whereas their movie battle only took place near the New York Sanctum Sanctorum and the Mirror Dimension.
Spider-Man 4 Could Give Maguire And Garfield The Return They Deserve
Maguire And Garfield's Spider-Man: No Way Home Introduction Didn't Do Them Justice
Halfway through Spider-Man: No Way Home, Ned Leeds accidentally opens a magic portal that allows Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men to hop into Ned's dining room. Both Spider-Men's arrival caused euphoric reactions in movie theaters across the world. However, a casual walk into Ned Leeds' living room is a somewhat underwhelming welcome to two of the most famous Marvel movie actors after several years of absence. If the quarantine restrictions hadn't been an issue, the multiversal Spider-Men's return could have been filmed under very different conditions.

The MCU Already Has The Perfect Way To Bring Back Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield In Spider-Man 4
Tom Holland will return in Spider-Man 4, and the MCU's Multiverse Saga plans have created the perfect story for Garfield and Maguire to also return.
If Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men return in the MCU's Spider-Man 4, the least Marvel could do to improve on their first MCU appearance is to give them a more exciting intro scene. Instead of a static, comedic, dialog-based scene, Spider-Man 4 could give them an epic action sequence where they show off their abilities, fighting style, and iconic costumes. Spider-Man: No Way Home barely used the characters' musical leitmotifs here and there, so Spider-Man 4 also has the chance to feature their full themes.
What Maguire And Garfield’s Original Spider-Man: No Way Home Intro Scene Could Have Looked Like
Spider-Man: No Way Home Could Have Been More Action Packed
Allegedly, Maguire and Garfield's original intro scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home would have involved a different character. Going by scrapped concepts seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home's concept art, this character could have been Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez. Given that America is a superhero capable of creating multiversal portals by herself, the Spider-Men's introduction could have been more action-packed, possibly with America intervening in a battle between Holland's Spidey and one or more of the invading villains. Now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has established America Chavez and her powers, Spider-Man 4 could fast-track the multiversal Spider-Men's action scenes.
