The fan art sees Taylor-Joy don Black Cat's classic costume, including the goggles, predominant black color, and white fur. The costume is sleek and modern, making it perfect for the MCU's style. After rumors emerged about the X-Men franchise's Magik actress possibly ing the MCU, Spider-Man franchise producer Amy Pascal said Taylor-Joy would be perfect for Black Cat, but claimed it was too early for the casting. Still, with Pascal liking the idea, Taylor-Joy could future MCU movies as Black Cat.

Spider-Man 4's revealed story would fit Black Cat. Felicia Hardy lives the same kind of double life that Peter Parker does, and since the hero will be abandoning his regular side to just be Spider-Man, striking a romance with someone who can also lead that life of danger makes sense. Another point in favor of Black Cat's MCU debut is related to what kind of role Zendaya's MJ will have in Spider-Man 4. The actress will return for the film, but MJ's role in Spider-Man 4 is reportedly minor.

That was said to be due to Zendaya's busy schedule, which will see her shoot Euphoria season 3 and Dune: Messiah around the time Spider-Man 4 goes before cameras this year. Since Anya Taylor-Joy will also be filming Dune: Messiah, there is a chance that the actress' schedule might make playing Black Cat in Spider-Man 4 difficult. However, if her schedule leaves enough room for the MCU film, Taylor-Joy would be a great pick for Black Cat, as the actress did great as X-Men's Magik in the troubled The New Mutants and has shown her dramatic skills in multiple roles.

With Spider-Man franchise producer Amy Pascal claiming that Anya Taylor-Joy would be great as Black Cat, I think the actress has a decent chance of being called for the role. Now, it still stands to be seen if Black Cat is even in Spider-Man 4 in the first place. Sydney Sweeney has long been fancast as the character, and the actress was even rumored to be up for a role in the next Spider-Man movie before Taylor-Joy. Both actresses would be exciting as Felicia Hardy, so I'm thrilled to see if either casting pans out in Spider-Man 4.
