In Sonic the Hedgehog CD, Amy Rose is instantly infatuated with Sonic, but the titular hedgehog ignores her advances. The fact that Amy Rose was introduced at the same time as Metal Sonic suggests that the plot of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 could be heavily influenced by the aforementioned Sonic the Hedgehog CD. If this is the case, Metal Sonic could potentially kidnap Amy Rose in the fourth movie, forcing Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and potentially even Shadow, to rescue her. Regardless of what the story of the fourth movie is, it is a safe bet that Amy Rose will be a valuable ally to Team Sonic moving forward in the franchise following her introduction in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
