has been officially renewed for a second season fans can finally expect to see the most exciting arcs of the manhwa adapted.
As great as Solo Leveling's first season is, fans of the manhwa will unanimously agree that the first season, which comprised only 12 episodes, covers only the very beginning of Jinwoo's journey, with the most thrilling fights yet to come. Fortunately, season 2 will likely deliver on the action and much more. If the season adopts the same pace and is slotted for the same number of episodes as the first season, fans can likely expect season 2 of Solo Leveling to adapt chapters 45-89 of the manhwa.
This would comprise another 5 story arcs, including the Red Gate Arc, the Demon Castle Arc, the Retesting Rank Arc, the Hunters Guild Gate Arc, and the Return to Demon Castle Arc, possibly ending with a teaser of the highly anticipated Jeju Island Arc. Alternatively, if season 2 is slotted for a full 24 episodes, fans might expect the next season to adapt the manhwa until Jinwoo's return to the Double Dungeon, which would make for another ideal stopping point.

Solo Leveling Is So Popular It Created An Entire Subculture
Solo Leveling's Crunchyroll Documentary dives into the impact of the series on the manhwa industry as a whole, revealing a surprising fact.
Season 2 of Solo Leveling Will See Jinwoo Become an S-rank Hunter
Based on the web novel written by Chugong
Season 1 of Solo Leveling has managed to maintain the perfect pace throughout its cour, adapting the manhwa at a rate of about three to four chapters per episode. As a result, season 1 managed to cover the first seven story arcs, ending on an intriguing note just as Jinwoo finally got his job title and new necromancy powers. It is arguably after Jinwoo acquires these powers that Solo Leveling's brilliant story truly takes off and the plot begins to thicken as the mystery surrounding the System and its true purpose begins to take center stage.
More importantly, Jinwoo's strength begins to skyrocket from here on out as he finally takes on the Demon Castle quest in order to gather the ingredients to craft the Holy Water of Life for his sick mother. Having defeated the guard dog Cerberus in season 1, the Demon Castle is quite clearly an arduous and dangerous task, but it does help Jinwoo level up rapidly, so much so that Jinwoo eventually becomes one of Solo Leveling's rare and powerful S-rank hunters. Fans can also expect to see Jinwoo take on more powerful gates and magic beasts as he gets stronger, particularly when he enters an A-rank gate with of the Hunters Guild.
Solo Leveling's Next Season Will Finally Show Jinwoo Exciting New Powers
Besides leveling up exponentially and finally getting his rank re-evaluated, Solo Leveling's second season will also finally show the full extent of Jinwoo's Shadow Monarch powers as he gradually builds his vast army of the undead. While Jinwoo's fights have been exciting enough thus far, his necromancy powers make him an unstoppable force to be reckoned with, so much so that he eventually comes to be known as a one-man army. Season 2 will also begin to tease the true origins of Jinwoo's powers and that of the System which is deliberately hiding many secrets from him.
That said, the season will see Jinwoo obtaining some of his strongest shadow soldiers, like Tank, Iron, and Tusk, and fans can only hope that season 2 is renewed for 24 episodes or more, allowing the beloved Beru to also make his debut at last. The Jeju Island Raid promises one of the best fights in the entire series, putting all of Jinwoo's newfound powers on full display. Given Solo Leveling's massive success and cult following, the Jeju Island Arc could also do well as a movie with a theatrical release. However, fans would likely prefer to see the arc adapted sooner rather than later.
Solo Leveling's Second Season May Outdo the First
Safe to say, Studio A-1 Pictures has done a fantastic job at bringing Solo Leveling to life despite it being quite a herculean task. The studio has managed to exceed fans' lofty expectations and will likely continue to do so with the second season, which may end up even better than the first. While Jinwoo gets stronger, the opponents he encounters will also get even more challenging than ever before, promising even more spectacular fights which the anime is sure to do justice. The series' exceptional animation might also get even better with time, making Solo Leveling's next installment an absolute must-watch.
