For many, the perfect way to dictate a personality and predict what a character may do next is to sort them into their Snowpiercer TV show are pretty clearly and easily sorted, after all, there is a definite split between the likes of the brave Melanie who ventured into the snow and the conniving Mr. Wilford who is hell-bent on manipulating everyone around him.

These characters are the main reason for Snowpiercer's success since it engages fans in a completely unpredictable (and life-threatening) story of twists and turns. Ultimately, the characters' personalities play a pivotal part in the story and are extremely important, so what better way to read into them than with their Hogwarts Houses?

Miss Audrey: Slytherin

The beautiful Miss Audrey wows every viewer with her songs and performances. While she's certainly mesmerizing, season two has portrayed her as more than a beautiful singer. She has a history with Mr. Wilford and certainly seems to be a little more sly and cunning than many previously thought.

The latter episodes show how similar she is to a Slytherin due to her she's loyal to herself (and probably Mr. Wilford).

Ruth Wardell: Hufflepuff

Similar to Miss Audrey, Ruth has had a serious change from the cruel woman she was in season one. She prides loyalty over anything else in the world and the reemergence of Mr. Wilford clearly affected her the most. However, through all this change and chaos, she remained the kind and loyal person viewers came to understand her as.

She is certainly on the path to redeeming herself and in doing so has settled perfectly in the house of Hufflepuff by being hardworking, loyal, and having an extremely strong moral code. Although it often causes her to seem disloyal to the likes of Layton, fans know she'll always choose the train.

Bess Till: Gryffindor

The best thing about Snowpiercer is how much the characters have changed in such a short time. Bess, however, has always stuck to her guns and went from a loyal and sometimes brutal Brakeman who always looked out for irregularities, even in her own ranks to the train detective who does exactly the same thing.

Just like a Gryffindor, Bess is brave, determined, and dutiful. She may have fought against the Tailies in season one but now she fights for justice when it's needed and put herself in deadly situations to do so. Similarly, just like a Gryffindor, she fights the evil guys and even tries to save them, just like Harry did to Draco, Gryffindors always see the best in people.

Bennett Knox: Hufflepuff

Bennett and Ruth would get on so well if they had more interactions. They're both so similar with their loyalties and kindness as well as their love for Melanie that it places them perfectly into the Hufflepuff house. Bennett may love Melanie but his loyalties run much deeper than that and his ultimate kindness and moral code make him a wonderful engineer as well as an even better Hufflepuff.

Ultimately, Bennett is slowly becoming a more key character and many fans will embrace this, after all, it's pretty clear that Snowpiercer needs a few more Hufflepuffs on that train, they're in desperate need of kindness.

Sam Roche: Slytherin

Sam Roche is the Lead Brakeman, so he has to have a bit of bravery and loyalty under his belt, but in recent episodes, he's shown a change in loyalties and for the first time, he seems to be torn between Wilford and Layton. Nevertheless, it was enough to fully place him into the house of Slytherin.

It's well known among fans that being a Slytherin doesn't make you evil, it just makes you smart and cunning. This is pretty obvious in Roche because of his ability to manipulate, look the other way, and his willingness to transfer loyalties when he wants to. He's a perfect fit for the Slytherin house.

Zarah Ferami: Hufflepuff

Zarah is one of the kindest on the train. She was forced onto the train by Layton and struggled to adjust to the life they were presented with so when given the opportunity to go to second class she jumped on it. Now in season two she is pregnant and wears the outfit of the hospitality.

This really strengthens her ties as a Hufflepuff as she's been allowed to trust and improve her moral code which was certainly put to the test when she tried to kill Josie but went back on it at the last minute. Ultimately, Zarah is kind, trusting, and has a strong moral code, making her a great fit for Hufflepuff.

Andre Layton: Gryffindor

It would be completely ridiculous if Andre Layton didn't qualify as a Gryffindor. He is the epitome of a good moral code, courage and determination as he fights against the tail to stop cannibalism, rallies the tail to now fights to stop Mr. Wilford from destroying the life he's trying to build for his unborn child and the rest of the train.

Andre Layton couldn't be any more Gryffindor and would be a perfect match the whole way through. Let's just hope he stays that way, unlike many of the engers who seem to be rapidly changing their alliances.

Melanie Cavill: Gryffindor

One of the more well-known traits that come with being a Gryffindor is bravery. Now nothing says bravery like leaving your daughter behind to stop the rest of the train from being under the oppressive rule of Mr Wilford, especially since she's really trying to fix those issues. Her more recent act of bravery comes from her venture out into the freeze to test the earth and see if it is in fact warming.

Like a true Gryffindor, she knew that no one else was more suited for the job, even if it meant leaving her daughter behind again, she had to do it to save the train and iron out a future for humanity. Melanie Cavill is undeniably brave, chivalrous, and determined to always do the right thing, even if she suffers.

Alex Cavill: Ravenclaw

While many fans haven't quite got a full analysis of Alex Cavill yet, she certainly seems to be portraying a different person in front of Wilford. However, when stripped back there are a few things that are indisputable. Those being her cunning, her wit, and more than anything, her intelligence. Just like her mother, Alex is incredibly smart and uses it as best as she can, although she's definitely still figuring it all out.

Alex is a perfect Ravenclaw thanks to the unfortunate way she's been brought up, but she's also too early in the show to fully predict. After all, Mr. Wilford seems to have more fans than previously expected.

Mr. Wilford: Slytherin

Mr wilford and slytherin badge

It would be wrong to assume Mr Wilford was anything but a Slytherin. He is the reason why this house gets such a bad rep but ultimately, it fits him perfectly.

He is cunning, manipulative and loyal to no one but himself. He is also extremely cruel to everyone he meets and even those he loves! Slytherin is a perfect house for Mr. Wilford but he'd be giving the poor house an incredibly bad reputation due to his evil intentions and using all his traits negatively rather than using them to better his life and the lives of the many others on the train.
