It's almost impossible to quantify all of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's most iconic moments during her run on MTV's Snooki burst onto the scene (and into the shore house) with a look that captured America's hearts, including her signature poufy hair, barely-there leopard print clothing, tanned skin, and short stature.

Snooki, the "blast in a glass," was unlike the standard reality stars of the day, as her main priority was partying, and she made no apologies about that.

The Jersey Shore gang is still hanging together on its spin-off, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which returns for season 8 on May 29 on MTV. During its original run, the Jersey Shore cast cemented themselves into popular culture, becoming fixtures on red carpets and on talk shows, and becoming more famous than any of them could have imagined. Snooki isn't afraid to laugh at herself, and she's come a long way since getting arrested on the Seaside Heights shores. Here are some of her most iconic moments on the show that made her a star.

In the first episode of season 1, audiences were still getting acquainted with these uber-tanned beings from the East Coast. As the cast arrived at the shore house, introductions were quickly made. Snooki walked in and made a proclamation that would remain true throughout the series' entire run.

"Party's here!"

Snooki recently shared in a TikTok posted by the official Jersey Shore that producers had coached her on what to say. "The producers were like, 'All right, you're going to start the party.' And I'm like, 'Yeah!' So I walk in and I go, 'Party's here!'" Snooki's entrance launched a catchphrase that people surely still shout to Snooki on the streets.

The Jersey Shore cast partied hard, and that often meant hooking up with each other. While the show's most enduring couple was Ronnie Ortiz and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Snooki had her fair share of romantic encounters. After all, she was young, single, and wanting to create entertaining television.

One such hook-up occurred while the cast was in Italy for Jersey Shore season 4. Snooki always had a thing for co-star Vinny Guadagnino, and their Italian liaison wasn't the first time they'd locked lips. But this time, as Snooki was dating her future husband, Jionni LaValle, their tryst came with a higher price. Snooki later comes clean to Jionni, which caused tension for seasons to come. Jionni even told Snooki to, "Tell Vinny he's dead," but the two worked past their issues and are still married with two kids to this day.

Another one of Snooki's most iconic moments happened in Italy. When she and her cast mates go on a trip to Riccione, a seaside village, the girls end up having a bender at a day club. The girls are enjoying themselves, taking shots and dancing, as they often do, but Snooki takes things a little too far, as she often does.

As Snooki, Jenni "J-Woww" Farley, Deena Cortese and Sammi flirt with the locals and shop, eventually, Jenni and Sammi decide to go back home, leaving the "meatballs" known as Snooki and Deena alone on the streets of Italy. As they drink more champagne and climb up onto speakers at another day club, the boys meet up with them. Ron notes that, "All the guys are just watching team meatball get drunker and drunker."

As Snooki and Deena continue dancing in their mile-high platforms, Snooki decides to run and try to leap into Deena's arms. She misses, and ends up landing directly in a bush that's lining the dance floor, much to the delight of the boys watching. Snooki's explanation? She "couldn't stop, you b***h," she yelled to Deena.

3 Snooki Hits A Police Car In Italy

Snooki's Italian adventure continued, but this time, she learned the difficulties of driving in a foreign country. After a rough day at the pizzeria, where they're working for the summer, Deena and Snooki decide to do a more wholesome activity. They work out, and then decide that Snooki will drive them to the gym.

"It's chaos. People are walking in the streets. You have to drive [like you're in] New York City times ten."

Driving in Italy is nothing like driving in the States, and Snooki dodged scooters and mopeds on the narrow Italian roads. She complained that people don't follow the rules of the road in Italy, and soon, she finds herself slamming directly into an Italian police car. Of course, Snooki didn't bring her license, but she willingly takes a breathalyzer and is transported to police headquarters, where her roommates later pick her up.

2 Snooki Gets Arrested On The Beach

By far, one of Jersey Shore's most memorable moments happened in season 3, back in Seaside Heights. After an all-day drinking session, an extremely intoxicated Snooki decides she wants to go to the beach. She runs up and down the boardwalk, famously asking where the beach is, while a bystander points to the beach and says, "Where else would it be?"

Snooki made her way to the sand and headed for the water, while Jenni and Deena followed her. They try to get Snooki to leave the beach peacefully, but Snooki ends up falling to the sand drunk. This caused a commotion, and a pair of cops decide that Snooki is too drunk to be out in public. They put her in handcuffs and haul her away for drunk and disorderly conduct. A tearful Snooki later has to tell her parents what happened, and although not a great situation, it made for some outstanding television.

1 Snooki Gets Punched

The Punch Launched The Show To Popularity

Unfortunately, Snooki's most notorious moment isn't a happy one. As shown in the clip shared by jerseyshore.clips on Instagram, Snooki was the victim of an assault at one of Seaside Heights' bars. The incident occurred early on in season 1, and the punch Snooki received was so graphic and disturbing that MTV refused to air the actual moment.

Snooki argues with a man at a bar whom she believes stole her group's shots. As a crowd gathered, the man cold-clocks Snooki seemingly out of nowhere, causing her to fall off her stool. Of course, all of Snooki's friends rally around her and try to fight the man, who is eventually detained.

The moment launched Jersey Shore into the stratosphere.

Audiences were just warming to the show, but it wasn't as popular as it would grow to be. After the punch moment aired, it was all anyone could talk about and made national news. It was so shocking that ratings skyrocketed and many credit the scene with the show's long-standing success. While it's unfortunate that Snooki had to be the victim of an assault, without that shocking scene, the show might not have found its audience and lasted as long as it has.
