The next release of Sims 4 Dream Home Decorator in spring 2021.

The Sims 4 base game launched in 2014 but has kept fans coming back with the release of its many expansions and additional content. Expansions include the large Expansion Packs, the middle-sized Game Packs, smaller Stuff Packs, and Kits. Kits have been a divisive new addition to the game, with many criticizing the small amount of content provided for the price. While EA has promised a range of Kits including those that add new gameplay mechanics, the only Kit to do so is Bust The Dust, released in March 2021. Since then, Kits have mostly been focused on adding clothing, with the most recent being the newly-released Sims 4 Carnaval Streetwear Kit.

It's now been confirmed by EA that The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories will be the next Game Pack, releasing on February 17. The paid add-on will give players the opportunity to design their dream Sim wedding, aiming to create the perfect wedding experience and celebrate true love within their games. Wedding planning is set to be the Pack's major focus, with an emphasis on every part of preparation from proposal to the big event. s will be able to tour venues, select the perfect decor, choose their ideal wedding outfits, and even participate in cake tastings. A wedding-centric expansion has been high on many players' wishlists, suggesting this could be one of the most popular Game Packs to date.

The news of a new Game Pack should please those unhappy with the Sims 4's Kits. Many players have voiced concerns that Kits have been prioritized over bigger expansion packs, with the regular release of Expansion, Game, and Stuff Packs seemingly slowing down throughout 2021. A lack of meaningful content add-ons have led some to believe that development on The Sims 4 is winding down, perhaps to make way for the rumored Sims 5, though the news of My Wedding Stories may put a dampener on those theories.

Simmers have been asking for a Sims 4 wedding-focused pack for some time, and having the release be a middle-sized Game Pack rather than a Stuff Pack is likely to please many. There are still more details to emerge on the new gameplay My Wedding Stories will introduce to the game, but combining the release with the recent launch of Sims 4 Scenarios should provide some interesting opportunities for story and roleplaying Simmers.
