New information about the latest Lovestruck expansion pack has been revealed during fan-favorite features from classic Sims games. There will be new base-game features added, like an update to Create-A-Sim, or CAS, alongside an entirely new world focused on romance, updated romantic interactions, and a lot more that has yet to be revealed. The pack will be released on July 25, 2024 and the updates for CAS will follow shortly.
During The Sims's 4 Lovestruck Developer Livestream on The Sims' YouTube channel, the developer shared a lot of new features, locations, and experiences that players can have. The livestream revealed the new map for Lovestruck called Ciudad Enamorada, a vibrant and bright city based on Mexico City.
This world has three different neighborhoods, all with unique offerings and new places to explore. First there is Vista Hermosa, which, according to the map, has the Wall of Love and a motel that's always open. There is also Plaza Mariposa, with date night options, and finally, Nuevo Corazón, the place for the nightlife and a lot of potential drama.

A Whole New World For Sims Players To Explore Pairs Well With Create-A-Sim Updates
Ciudad Enamorada Is All About The Romance
Ciudad Enamorada has shops, nightclubs, and a park sprinkled around, but is also supposedly home to new romance options for players to meet. According to the livestream, the developers created these Sims to be perfect for players who love to stir up drama in their playthroughs. There are also interactions that allow players to do things like move the date to a new location, end the date abruptly, or extend the date if they feel it is going well and want to try out the returning, iconic Sims item everyone knows and loves, the Heart Bed.
Sims will also have new attraction features, that will let players develop their Sim's preferences as they date. This lets players fine tune what they want their experience to be, like allowing their Sims to be in polyamorous relationships, or only be attracted to certain styles. This expansion pack also includes a missing Sims 4 feature that has been highly anticipated: an in-game dating app, where Sims can interact, build a relationship, and even plan dates. This, paired with the CAS updates like Copy & Paste and 3D eyelashes, will hopefully make gameplay much more enjoyable for those who are burnt out.
Many of these updates that are coming to The Sims 4 are likely thanks to the new team EA put together to address bugs in The Sims series. Having the ability to copy and paste accessories onto different outfits will be a game changer for players who like to keep things like jewelry and makeup consistent across the styles. Also, giving Sims different romance styles and preferences is a much needed and welcomed change to The Sims 4.
