On June 1, Summer of Sims roap, an outline that teased the content coming to the title throughout May, June, and July.
The releases include an Expansion Pack that allows Sims to deeply explore their bond with Mother Nature. Maxis' roap additionally teased plans for a virtual block party during a big summer event that currently lacks concrete details. Moreover, the development crew is cooking up three different waves of Base Game updates, though information on this front remains scarce, as well. Another major addition set to rollout this summer - a brand-new career path - is right around the corner.
Dream Home Decorator is a Game Pack for The Sims 4 set to hit consoles and PC on June 1, new career path will see Sims meet with clients and determine how best to "deliver the perfect renovation." Success will come to those who learn what their clients want, of course. Thus, Sims should question their patron's preferences, walk them through color swathes, and show off previously completed renovations. The decorating itself comes next, with the designer first selling any items that won't prove useful. Again, this only serves as the beginning of Maxis' plans for the next couple of months, but what a great way to start. Sims 4 players will seemingly get to flex several muscles all at once - people skills, interior design, and management. The Interior Decorator path may also tackle complaints about limited interactivity across in-game careers.
Electronic Arts originally released The Sims 4 in 2013; as such, fans eagerly anticipate word about a potential Sims 5. Apart EA CEO Andrew Wilson once hinting at future entries exploring “social interactions and competition," nothing concrete about the next installment has surfaced. How long that will remain the case is not yet known.
The Sims 4 is available to play on PC via Origin and Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
