Apple TV+ is welcoming back one of the streaming platform's biggest hits with the arrival of Silo season 2 is finally here.

Silo season 1's ending saw Juliette go outside, discovering the conditions of the bunker's surroundings. Not only did she realize the continued lies fed to the silo's citizens their entire lives, but Juliette also saw civilization's ruin and the presence of other underground bunkers in the area. Silo season 2's story will feature Juliette entering a nearby silo, where she will encounter a peculiar survivor, played by Steve Zahn. Of course, Juliette's home silo will still be in focus after her exit, especially with Bernard and Sims dealing with the looming rebellion.

Like the show's debut season, Silo season 2 will have 10 episodes. Based on how season 1 ended, it seems like Silo season 2 will cover the rest of the first book, Wool. Sure, Silo includes changes to Howey's books, but the Apple TV+ show still serves as a live-action adaptation. As the next chapter of Juliette's adventure is on display, there will also be plenty of flashbacks in season 2. The flashbacks will expand on Juliette's early life growing up in the silo, in addition to what happened to the second bunker she enters at the start of the new season.

Apple TV+ Is Sticking To Season 1's Release Format

Rather than an all-at-once drop, Apple TV+ is sticking to the weekly format for Silo. New episodes of Silo season 2 will release at midnight ET on Fridays starting November 15, 2024. This means the episodes are technically released on Thursday nights at 9 pm PT despite Apple TV+ labeling Fridays as the day for new episodes. That said, Apple TV+ has been known to surprise viewers with earlier releases, especially during premiere week.

As mentioned, Silo season 2 begins on November 15, with new episodes dropping every week for the duration of the installment. There's no word yet on whether Silo season 3 is happening, but the chances look good based on what the cast and showrunner have said about Silo's future. January 17, however, will be a big day for Apple TV+. Aside from the release of Silo season 2's finale, it also marks the return of another sci-fi hit on Apple TV+: Severance.
