What Happened To Juliette At The End of Silo Episode 8

Juliette nearly jumping off the strairs in Silo's episode 8

Considering how every other character who has previously defied the Silo's authorities has either been murdered or sent out, Juliette, too, has been in grave danger ever since Sims caught her skimming through George Wilkins' book relic. However, Juliette is not like the others. She has consistently proven that her strong will to survive allows her to navigate her way through some of the direst situations. Hence, although she nearly jumps off the stairs while trying to escape the Silo's law enforcement, she might have another trick up her sleeve to survive and keep fighting against her oppressors.

While it may be hard to predict her next move, she may jump off the rails and try landing on another level of the Silo. Or, she may reach out for a ledge that could break her fall and prevent her from getting gravely injured. If not anything else, Juliette will find a way to improvise an effective strategy along the way and take some degree of risk to increase her chances of survival and stay one step ahead of Sims and Bernard.

How Juliette Can Escape Her Dark Silo Fate

Juliette's fate is sealed after the events of Silo episode 8. Even if she manages to access the hard drive and get her hands on the Silo's secrets, Bernard will eventually catch her and send her out of the Silo. However, she can make some provisions to either delay the inevitable or turn the tables on the Silo's corrupt authorities. For instance, now that she has the hard drive, her first goal would be to find a computer that can help her access its content. Since Lukas gave her the cold shoulder in Silo episode 8 by not agreeing to assist her, Martha Walker is her only hope.

While getting to Martha may not be easy, especially with Sims, Bernard, and their men trailing her, she can seek help from her friends at the mechanical department to snag a few extra minutes from the ticking clock. Once she understands what is on the hard drive, she can use the truth as a weapon to convince Silo's citizens to her and resist Bernard's rule. With this, she can trigger a rebellion, which could effectively flip the script, allow her to control the narrative, and fulfill her purpose as the last Flamekeeper in Silo's final episodes.

Is A Rebellion Coming In Silo?

Silo season 1 episode 6 recap

Juliette has not been sheriff for too long, but she has always been influential enough to inspire defiance in others. After working as a reliable leader in the Silo's mechanical for decades, she has proven to her allies that her word can be trusted, which explains why her friends in the lower levels would her rebellion even if she does not present them with enough viable evidence. Given that Bernard still holds the most power in the Silo, he will eventually find a way to throw her out. However, that does not mean Juliette cannot cause enough damage to disrupt the city's power dynamics before she steps out in Silo.
