The episode also featured memorable appearances from several recurring characters, such as Veronica's mother Carol (Vanessa Bell Calloway), and there's also an emotional moment when Sheila says her farewells to Karen and baby Hymie.

Of course, the emotional premise of the episode didn't diminish from the comedic moments, with Frank cooking up a new scam that he wants the Gallagher kids to be part of. It was also the time that Monica's father, Bill (John Aylward) appeared in Shameless.
