When it comes to Baldur's Gate 3's roster of characters, few have managed to stand out like Shadowheart and Dame Aylin, a fact that's illustrated by this talented duo of cosplayers. Representing two halves of the same coin, Shadowheart and Dame Aylin find themselves at odds due to their different philosophies and allegiances to Shar and Selûne, the Goddess of Darkness and the Goddess of the Moon, respectively. Despite their rivalry, both characters have a great deal in common, leading many to believe that were it not for their different patrons they'd likely be good friends.

The talent on display is clear as both cosplayers have managed to channel the look and feel of the Cleric and Paladin right down to the small details; the various cracks across Dame Aylin's face are faithfully recreated by galewan while Hiobsbotschaft's Spear of Night is especially imposing. The creators have earned plenty of praise from the community with many highlighting the duo's remarkable recreation of both characters.

Upon first meeting Shadowheart, the Cleric initially puts up a tough exterior, insisting that she's devoted to Shar, the patron Goddess of Darkness and Trickery. Yet the more time players spend talking with her, they'll quickly come to learn that Shadowheart isn't too happy worshipping a deity that longs to spread chaos and deception. In a pivotal moment in the narrative, Aylin and Shadowheart can have a conversation that sends the latter down a path of reflection, ultimately resulting in her giving up Shar as a patron.

While Dame Aylin may not be one of the leading characters in Baldur's Gate 3, her questline has caused a great deal of frustration amongst the community. Many believe her story is unfinished and rushed, initially leading players to believe that an expansion would provide a true ending for the character and her partner Isobel, another follower of Selûne. Unfortunately, that's no longer on the cards as Larian Studios has confirmed that it has no plans to create DLC content for Baldur's Gate 3 and is already working on its next project.

As for Shadowheart, there's a good chance that the Cleric returns for another adventure. Larian Studios may have wrapped up her story but Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that she's canon to the world of Dungeons & Dragons, meaning she could feature in a future tabletop supplement or video game sequel. Fans will just have to wait and see what lies ahead for one of Baldur's Gate 3's most popular party .
