Warning! This article contains spoilers for Secret Invasion episode 6.Secret Invasion episode 6 capped off the battle between Fury and Gravik, all while presenting a variety of MCU Easter eggs and references along the way. The episode picks up directly from where Secret Invasion episode 5 left off, with Fury traveling to Russia to confront Gravik at the Skrull compound. However, as was the case for the preceding five episodes, Secret Invasion episode 6 included several twists and turns in the MCU Disney+ show's final installment.
From the switch-out between Fury and G'iah midway through the episode to the resolution of Rhodey's Skrull impostor, Secret Invasion episode 6 continued the show's trend of throwing curveballs regarding the story and MCU formula, considering Secret Invasion has no post-credit scene. Similarly, the same can be said for Secret Invasion's MCU Easter eggs, arguably the most prevalent in the show's final outing than any other episode. With that said, here is every reference, Easter egg, and link to other MCU properties found in Secret Invasion episode 6.
15 Secret Invasion Episode 6 Changes A Nick Fury Trailer Shot
In Secret Invasion episode 6, Fury - secretly G'iah in disguise - confronts Gravik at New Skrullos, walking into the chamber housing the Super Skrull machine for their final stand. Upon entering, G'iah sells her Fury impersonation by showing the effects of radiation on a human. The shot of "Fury" walking into the chamber shows him stumbling and coughing, feeling the strain of the radiation from around New Skrullos while also being a Secret Invasion Easter egg from the show's official chamber.
The Easter egg comes as this shot is also shown in Secret Invasion's official trailer, though in a very different way. The trailer presents Fury entering the chamber as a much more heroic shot, with the superspy stoically walking into the room to confront his enemy. The shot is notably different from how it was presented in Secret Invasion episode 6, continuing Marvel Studios' tendency to change trailers in a bid not to give away story details.
14 Secret Invasion Episode 6 Reveals Fury's Thoughts On The Blip
During the confrontation between "Fury" and Gravik, the former reveals what he was thinking as he was being dusted by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. While the Fury in the episode is actually G'iah in disguise, it is likely this revelation is true, and she was told this by Fury in order to sell her impersonation of him. It is revealed that Fury felt relief as he was disappearing, relief that he no longer has to fight and finally has a way out.
13 Every Sample Of Avengers DNA The Skrulls Have In Secret Invasion Episode 6
With Secret Invasion episode 6 centering on Fury delivering the Harvest to Gravik, the series finally confirms every sample of Avengers DNA the latter possesses. It was also revealed in Secret Invasion episode 6 that the Harvest is specifically Carol Danvers' DNA, which Gravik took from Fury. Aside from this though, it is clear the Skrulls have been hard at work since Avengers: Endgame given how many samples they already have.
As Gravik boots up his Super Skrull machine, a computer screen highlights every single superhero he has DNA from. The first is Ghost, the antagonist of Ant-Man and the Wasp who can phase through solid matter and will appear in 2024's Thunderbolts. The next is Captain America, following on from Fury's words in Secret Invasion episode 5 that every Avenger spilled blood during the Battle of Earth. Gravik also possesses DNA samples from every member of the Black Order/Thanos' children: Cull Obsidian, Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, and Proxima Midnight.
Similarly, Gravik even has a DNA sample from Thanos, alongside other minions of the Mad Titan like the Outriders and the Chitauri. Other heroes that show up on Gravik's machine are Abomination, Mantis, Drax, Korg, Hulk, Valkyrie, Thor, Gamora, and Bucky Barnes. Now complete with Captain Marvel's DNA, the Super Skrull form is one of the more formidable beings in the entire MCU thanks to these heroes and villains whose abilities it now possesses.
12 Hulk's Power Is Showcased In Secret Invasion Episode 6's Battle
After the Avengers' DNA is shown in Secret Invasion episode 6, Gravik imbues him and G'iah - albeit unwittingly - with these abilities. This causes Secret Invasion's final battle to include several MCU Easter eggs concerning other superhero powers being on display, beginning with Hulk. Gravik's form physically changes after using the machine, becoming a much more muscular, well-built Skrull. This physique and the green hue of Skrulls emulate the Hulk, with Gravik and G'iah both showing similar strength to Marvel's green Avenger.
11 Abomination's Design Is Utilized In Secret Invasion Episode 6
Just as Gravik possesses the power of the Hulk in Secret Invasion episode 6, he also shows his similarities to Abomination. At one point in the fight with G'iah, the left side of Gravik's body transforms. This transformation sees him use the arm of the Abomination against G'iah in the same way he utilized Hulk's powers earlier, while his ear turns into Abominations fin-like appendage.
10 G'iah Uses Drax's Arm In Secret Invasion Episode 6
Another MCU Easter egg comes from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. After Gravik uses Abomination's arm against G'iah, the newly-made Super Skrull uses the arm of Drax the Destroyer. G'iah transforms her left arm into Drax's, before charging at Gravik and utilizing another MCU hero's power.
9 Ghost's Phasing Abilities Are Used In Secret Invasion Episode 6
As G'iah rushes Gravik, the latter's new strength allows him to throw a vehicle at the former. G'iah then uses another of her new abilities, that being the phasing of Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp. G'iah phases through the car hurtling towards her, allowing her to battle Gravik in close quarters.
8 Thor's Korg & Frost Beast Receive Secret Invasion Episode 6 Easter Eggs
After avoiding the car thrown at her, G'iah transforms her arms once again. This time, G'iah's left arm shape-shifts into the form of Korg, emulating the rocky design shown by the Kronan warrior in the MCU. Gravik matches this, with both Super Skrulls using Korg's power during the fight. G'iah's other arm forms into an icy spike which pays off the reveal that the Skrulls stole the DNA of a Jotunheim-based creature from Thor: The Dark World.
7 Gravik Uses The Power Of Ebony Maw From Avengers: Infinity War
Just as G'iah seems to be gaining the upper hand in the fight against Gravik, the latter shape-shifts once again. His Groot arm changes into the skinnier, paler arm of Ebony Maw, Thanos' telekinetic servant from Avengers: Infinity War. Gravik uses the powers of Ebony Maw to throw rocks at G'iah and slam her into an overhanging metal structure.
6 Secret Invasion Epsiode 6 Uses A Captain America: Civil War Location
While Gravik and G'iah battle in Russia, Fury and Sonya Falsworth attempt to stop President Ritson from nuking New Skrullos. As they are attempting to convince Ritson of Rhodey's deceit and call off the attack, the warhead is shown being deployed from a bunker. This bunker looks almost identical to the location from the final fight of Captain America: Civil War between Captain America, Bucky, and Iron Man. From the deep hole in the ground and the sliding door at the top to the metal gratings lining the inside, the location in Secret Invasion episode 6 brings to mind the same structure Bucky climbed to escape Iron Man's vengeance.
