The latest Schedule 1 beta update is now live and available for players to test out. The game is still technically in early access but has seen a steady stream of updates and improvements from solo developer Tyler (owner of Tyler's Video Game Studio).
Acs shared to the Schedule 1 Steam page, Schedule I version 0.3.6 is now available to test on the beta branch. There are new additions, tweaks, quality of life improvements, and numerous bug fixes. In the update, Tyler has also created a list of potential additions to the game and has stated he will be creating a voting poll for fans to select what they would like to see in the game's next major update. Possible options include a cartel update, a police system expansion, and the introduction of a new drug.
Everything New In Schedule 1's Version 0.3.6 Beta
Lockers, Item Slot Filters, And More
The new beta update is pretty substantial. The two biggest additions are the addition of lockers and item slot filters. Lockers will be replacing employee beds, which will be more space-efficient and allow players to store more items at any location that has employees. With the item slot filter, players will be able to "whitelist" or "blacklist" items to tell their AI-controlled employees which items should or shouldn't go in certain inventory slots.

After Jukeboxes, Schedule 1 Desperately Needs These 10 New Features
While there have been many updates to Schedule 1 so far, there are certain game mechanics the game could definitely use to make it even better.
There have also been quite a few general tweaks and improvements to the game. All the additions, tweaks and improvements, and bug fixes in this new update are as follows:
- Additions
- Added lockers. These will be replacing employee beds. For compatibility reasons, employees will still be assigned to beds in existing saves, but going forward, you can use lockers instead, which are more space-efficient and can store more stuff.
- Added item slot filters. You can now set whitelists or blacklists on slots to tell employees which items should or shouldn't go in a particular slot.
- Added employee property transfers.
- Tweaks/Improvements:
- Increased storage unit employee capacity to 3.
- Consolidated all NPC save files.
- Consolidated property save files.
- Consolidated business save files.
- Changed the trash can pickup area to be square instead of circular.
- The trash can pickup area is now visible while you're placing the trash can.
- Bug Fixes
- Fixed occasional NPC long-distance pathing failures.
- Fixed occasional employee pathing failures.
- Fixed employees sometimes attempting to pick up items that they don't have the inventory capacity for.
- Fixed botanist-related performance issue.
- Fixed police showing question marks above their heads while they're unconscious.
- Fixed viewmodel drifting.
Schedule 1 Updates Are Non-Stop
The Game Is Getting Better And Better
Tyler has been working virtually endlessly to update Schedule 1, and he has also live-streamed some of his progress on his Twitch channel. The previous major update introduced a Jukebox feature, a new storage unit property, and the ability to import and export save files. As popular as the game is and as diligently as Tyler is working, it is nice to see updates coming so quickly to the title.
Tyler previously laid out a roap of planned additions, and that's with the game still being in early access. With frequent updates, it's giving a reason for fans to keep their eyes on Tyler's development, as well as a reason to boot the game back up and try out the new features. With Tyler planning to open fan voting for new features to be added, it's a great time to be a fan of Schedule 1, and with so much fan coming in, the game is likely going to just keep getting better.
