The seeing all of the flashy specs and features is exciting. On the other hand, trying to justify the price of a brand new flagship can be pretty difficult.
Such is the case with the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung's touting lots of upgrades for its new phones — including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, new camera sensors, and refined designs. Unfortunately, those things come at a high price. Shoppers interested in the regular Galaxy S22 need to spend at least $799. The larger Galaxy S22+ increases the starting price to $999, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra will set you back a minimum of $1199. The good news? Verizon has a few different pre-order deals that make the Galaxy S22 series substantially easier on the wallet.
The first Verizon pre-order deal to check out is a BOGO offer. If someone buys a Galaxy S22 or Galaxy S22+, they can get another one for free. To be eligible, Verizon requires shoppers to add a new line of service, have both phones on an unlimited plan, and buy both with 36-month installment plans. After doing all that, Verizon credits your up to $1000 over the next 36 months — enough to make the second S22 or S22+ totally free. Shoppers can also follow the same steps to buy two Galaxy S22 Ultras and get $1000 off their second one (bringing it down to just $199 instead of $1199).
Other Galaxy S22 Verizon Pre-Order Deals
Don't need two phones but still want to save some cash? Verizon also has a trade-in deal for the Galaxy S22 that might be more useful. For this pre-order deal, shoppers just need to buy a Galaxy S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra, activate a new line of service or upgrade an existing one, and trade in their old device within 30 days of the purchase. Just like that, they get up to an $800 discount via 36 monthly bill credits. The list for eligible devices that net the full $800 is rather impressive. It includes the Google Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, and lots more. The phone can even be damaged! So long as you trade it in and there aren't severe battery issues, Verizon will accept it and pay you a lump of cash. That $800 is enough to make the regular Galaxy S22 free, and puts a pretty big dent in the S22+ and S22 Ultra.
Along with those offers, Verizon has a couple of other deals also worth considering. The above two pre-order deals can be combined with Verizon's switching promotion. If someone switches to Verizon from another carrier, gets any S22 model, puts it on an installment plan, and activates a new line of unlimited service, Verizon gives them a $1000 prepaid Mastercard gift card. Furthermore, if you want to buy an Android tablet or laptop with the Galaxy S22, purchasing the two together comes with its own savings. Buy any Galaxy S22 model with an unlimited plan, buy an eligible Android tablet or laptop with its own data plan, and Verizon gives you a $310 discount paid over 36 months.
Lastly, Verizon is selling the 256GB storage versions of all Galaxy S22 models for the same price as the 128GB one. That's double the storage than you'd normally get, and since the S22 doesn't expandable storage, it's a great way to ensure you have plenty of space for games, movies, songs, etc. All in all, Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S22 pre-order deals are pretty robust. All of these are available from February 9 for a limited time, so be sure to act fast if any of the deals catch your eye.
