Roleplaying Games That Released Between January 1 - March 31
The roleplaying game genre started the year off right, with many RPGs in the first quarter of the year to keep players busy during the cold winter. This included the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which was undoubtedly the most notable RPG of the early year. There are numerous others that deserve attention as well, however. Between the narrative-driven Dragon's Dogma 2, the action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and the tactical exploration of Unicorn Overlord, there are many games that came out which can keep everyone busy.

Roleplaying Games Releasing Between April 1 - June 30
As temperatures begin to warm up, roleplaying games continue to stay hot. Many great titles from popular series, such as Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and Hades II make appearances in the spring of 2024, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door launches its remake on Nintendo Switch near the end of May. Although not well known, fans of the genre would be remiss to overlook the unique turn-based combat JRPG that mixes monster taming in a 1960s Americana world, Bloomtown: A Different Story.

Every RPG Releasing In Q3 2024
Roleplaying Games Releasing Between July 1 - September 30
As the calendar looks further out, release dates begin to become a bit more open as many of the still yet-to-be announced release dates will likely fill in the calendar. In the case of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, at least it is stated to be launching in the third-quarter. Many of the anticipated summer 2024 RPGs will be large games with deep and involved stories, such as Black Myth: Wukong which is based on Chinese mythology. Final Fantasy XIV is also going to be seeing its DLC, Dawntrail, arrive early in July to give many Final Fantasy fans plenty to do.

Roleplaying Games Releasing Between October 1 - December 31
Moving down the calendar toward the end of the year and the approach of the winter holidays, many games will end up strategically placing their releases before the holiday season. So far, however, not many games have given official dates for that far out. One of the games during that time is the heavily anticipated Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time which is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch on October 10.
Metaphor: ReFantazio and Zodiac Legion have given a fourth-quarter prediction of when they will be launching. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 devs have simply said it will be the fall, which means this RPG could even be as early as August or September.

Confirmed Roleplaying Games Expected To Launch This Year
Many games have been announced to be released during 2024 but have not been given a specific timeframe yet. Throughout the year, these will begin to have more concrete dates, and hopefully not be pushed into 2025. Among this list is the third entry in the popular Cat Quest series, Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean, as well as the hand-drawn adventure RPG of Abyss Fantasia.
