Bows are by far upside to carrying a bow around is that it is always a silent weapon and ammo can be crafted from items found in the environment. Players should try to have the strongest bows possible.
One of the best bows in the game can only be found by finding the parts for it. The Grim Whisper bow has a higher base damage than the Ancient Horn bow but keeps all the other advantages that the other bow has. Players who want to obtain this bow will need to explore a few crypts to discover all of the pieces. This guide shows players how to do just that.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: How to Get the Grim Whisper
In all there are four different parts to the Grim Whisper bow and all of them are found within places called the Founder's Crypts. There are two in the Soviet Installation and two in the Geothermal Valley. Here are the locations of all four.
Part 1: Players will find this part in the Soviet Installation. They will find the crypt entrance not far from the Installation Vista Base Camp. From the camp players will need to take the zip line down and search the right side of the path to find the entrance to the crypt. They will find the bow part inside.
Part 2: This part is also in the Soviet Installation, but further in. Players will need to travel to the Logging Base Camp and go north until the come upon a broken bridge. Players will find the crypt on the other side of the bridge in between a few trees. The part is inside the crypt.
Part 3: Players will find this part in the Geothermal Valley area. They will see a massive waterfall that will require them to drop down from above onto some ledges. Players will then need to jump across the ledges to enter the waterfall. The crypt here contains the part.
Part 4: The last part of the bow can also be found in Geothermal Valley region. Players should start at the Ruins Encampment Base Camp and climb up the hill past some ruins. They can then follow the cliff edge until they reach a hole in the wall between some trees that leads to the crypt and the final piece of the bow.
