While fans have been captivated by the epic season 4 of Rick and Morty, the 3rd season of Harmon and Roiland's zany animated romp has proven memorable as well.

The 10 episodes of this action-packed ride have brought us everything from post-apocalyptic tales to an anthropomorphic Rick pickle. These adventures have been a hotbed for new memes among fans - even spurring the renaissance of a limited-time McDonald's McNugget sauce. Naturally, there have also been many funny quotes during what Rick describes as "the darkest year of our adventures."

With that said, let's take a trip to the dimension of season 3 and highlight 10 of its funniest quotes. There's certainly no shortage of them!

"Morty, I'm A Drunk, Not A Hack."

Rick and Morty Vindicators

During the episode "Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender," Rick and Morty find to their dismay that Rick, in a drunken state, had rigged a lair with deadly puzzles. After his grandson calls him out for "Saw-ing" the band of colorful superheroes, Rick responds with this fitting statement.

Moments after though, a drunk Rick pops up on a video screen, implying that he just may be drunk and a hack, with his itted attempt to emulate that film.

"I Want To Hold You, I Want To Run In A Stream!"

There's something about this moment that's both hilarious and a bit saddening. Since Rick and his grandchildren end up spending months in a Mad Max-esque ruins, he must come up with a way to deceive Beth during this time.

He achieves this by crafting a couple of almost convincing robotic versions of Morty and Summer. Soon enough, though, the Morty bot seems to be on the cusp of gaining sentience. He then breaks into this amusing proclamation of wanting to "feel alive." He follows this up with his random desire to enjoy ice cream in a hilariously specific way.

One can only imagine what Beth must have been thinking...

"Watch Closely As Grandpa Topples An Empire By Changing A '1' To A '0'."

Fans were left with a cliffhanger following the conclusion of the chaotic season 2 finale. While most assumed Rick would find a way to break out of Galactic prison, fans couldn't wait to find out just how this would go down.

Well, following a series of astute and unlikely happenings that only Rick could pull off, he manages to break free. But what really caps of this episode is his amusingly simple plot to implode this fragile alien empire - by changing a single digit of its universal currency.

"What's The Atmosphere Like On Planet Jessica?"

Jessica Date

During "Rest and Ricklaxation" the show's leads are utterly burnt out from their chaotic adventures and visit a detoxing alien spa to take the edge off. Yet, this spa tends to work a bit too well - as it separates the toxic attributes of people and anthropomorphizes them into sludgy toxic beings.

Apparently, Morty's detoxified self comes in the form of an annoyingly perky, confident "go-getter" who acts about 20 years older than he really is. During an awkward date with his crush Jessica, he rambles on about his desire to get to know her, using colorful planetary metaphors.

"Their Weird Calendar Made Me 47, And They've Weaponized The Eiffel Tower!"

Following the Galactic Federation earth takeover, it's clear the Smith's aren't taking the inevitable culture shock too well. In addition to an overbearing robot butler force-feeding pills to Morty, Summer is also apparently struggling. She makes this clear with this amusing line of dialogue - which paints a vivid picture of this bizarre regime in a creative manner that's so typically "Rick and Morty."

One can't help but wonder just what other changes have befallen the planet...

"Losers Look Stuff Up While The Rest Of Us Are Carp'en All Them 'Diems."

Summer really beings to shine and "come into her own" as a character during the 3rd season. Not only does she Rick and Morty for some adventures, but she also brings a refreshing new dynamic with her brand of sarcastic, zany humor.

After Morty calls her out for failing to turn her phone ringer off on a mission, Summer responds that she's simply 'seizing the day,' and to 'look it up.' After Morty retorts that she should look this up, Summer replies with this gem - whilst nonchalantly flipping through her phone. Just for a little extra comedic  "oomph," this coaxes a swift, behind-the-back high five from Rick, who clearly approves of this "burn."

"I'm Not A Cow. I'm A Pickle. When I Feel Like It."

"Pickle Rick" has managed to become a fan-favorite romp bordering on icon status. This is thanks to its crazy "survival" scenario which has Rick overcoming a self-imposed pickle transformation. But this zany bout of action scenes is balanced with some heavy and profound dialogue, too.

At the end of the episode, viewers get a clear look into the psychology and philosophies of Pickle Rick, who's attending a therapy session with Beth. After a rant discrediting the merits of psychologists, Rick caps it off with this statement which is both goofy and emblematic of Rick's persona.

"Who Do You Think Had More Taken From Them When You shot 20 CC's Of Liquid Dream-Killer Into My Daughter?"

Jerry Rick Morty Whirly Dirly

Rick has often been known to bust the chops of his inept, naive son-in-law, Jerry. These disses from Rick make up some of his more amusing lines throughout the series, and season 3 is no different.

While Jerry is on the verge of getting eaten alive form an alien monster, Rick goes off, explaining why he disapproves of him as a spouse for his daughter. What follows is a back-and-forth which sees the Smith patriarchal rivalry crop up yet again.

This quote from "The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy" might seem harsh, even for Rick standards. Still, given the context of an assassination attempt that Jerry takes part in, this colorful line might be fitting - not to mention funny.

"If We're All Bored Here, Wouldn't the Common Denominator Be You?"

Though the detoxified version of Morty in "Rest and Ricklaxation" may verge on being irritatingly smug, he certainly has some humorous quotes. One particularly funny, out-of-character moment is this zinger which he tells his teacher during a lecture on fractions. What makes this even more of a riot is that his teacher, Mr. Goldenfold, actually approves of it with a 4th wall-breaking response.

Along with its imaginative premises, clever quips like this remind fans what makes Rick and Morty so uniquely appealing.

"Nine More Seasons Until I Get That Dipping Szechuan Sauce!"

Rick and Morty isn't shy about its 4th wall-busting lines and meta-commentary. These can provide amusing moments - with the writers' self-parodying statements often serving as "winks" to the fanbase.

These can particularly provide yuks when coming from a rambling, clearly-drunken Rick. The quote in question involves Morty's grandfather in just such a state, raving about his life goal to obtain his cherished Mulan Szechuan dipping sauce.

Fans will just have to wait and see if the line turns out to be prophetic, or if this was naught but a one-off gag. Either way, this tirade at the end of "The Rickshank Redemption" is one of the season's funniest moments.
