With a new season of Big Brother right around the corner, casting has already begun. For the first time in four years, Big Brother is holding in-person open casting calls. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, casting calls were held all over the country throughout the process of finding the perfect Big Brother houseguests. In addition to casting calls, individuals who wanted to audition for the show could also submit video applications online.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, Big Brother could not choose a brand-new cast for the show, especially through in-person casting calls. Instead, sixteen Big Brother legends returned to the game for the second-ever Big Brother season 23 the following summer, applications were only accepted through video submissions. Potential candidates would then be put through a series of virtual interviews. This was the same process for Big Brother season 24 last summer.
Big Brother In-Person Casting Calls Return After Three Seasons
For the first time since 2019, Big Brother in-person casting calls are making a return. On February 24, Big Brother season 25 featuring past players, they are still accepting applications for new houseguests. The casting call for Big Brother season 25 will take place at State Social House located at 8782 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, California.
Other Locations Have Not Been Confirmed For Big Brother Casting Calls Yet
So far, no other locations have been confirmed for Big Brother open casting calls yet. However, Jesse said that his team is working with their s across the country to make this happen. Unfortunately, the primary casting team won't be traveling to hold casting calls themselves. Therefore, they have to rely on their s to be willing to hold them instead. Jesse assured applicants that they shouldn't worry if they are unable to fly to California for the casting calls. All video applications do get reviewed by the team, and missing the casting call won't affect an applicant’s chances of being cast. With alleged Big Brother casting changes being made this year, the application process may be even more grueling than ever before. However, this is all done in an effort to find the best cast possible for the season.
As potential cast prepare to apply for Big Brother, Jesse, along with many past houseguests, have one word of advice, which is to "be yourself." The casting team is looking for individuals that will not only be good at the game, but will also truly be themselves all summer long. Although casting has already begun for Big Brother season 25, it has not yet been confirmed that the cast will consist of solely brand-new houseguests.
