Respawn Entertainment's battle royale title Apex Legends' Halloween-themed Monsters Within event is currently underway, which added 40 new cosmetic items to the game.

As a popular online multiplayer title with various seasonal updates, Apex Legends sees glitches pop up somewhat frequently. The game has seen a variety of game-breaking glitches throughout the last couple of months, such as one that caused players to respawn as an entirely different Apex Legends character. Another glitch was comparatively even more unfortunate for players, seeing as it wiped out XP-related progress after logging out of the game. Publisher EA tweeted a short message explaining it planned to address the issue, which was later successfully patched.

Now, in a new tweet from Respawn (via The Gamer), Apex Legends appears to be dealing with game crashes due to its animated epic poses - a feature that allows Legends to literally pose in unique ways that contribute to their distinctive personalities. The bug caught Respawn's attention, to which the developer tweeted, "We've just published this message in-game to help cut down on crashes called by animated poses. tell your friends!" As explained by the graphic attached to the post, these poses can be unequipped - which is good news for those who are experiencing crashes following their use.

Apex Legends' technical game designer, known as Apex Legends is also frequently subjected to hackers, so Respawn seems to have its hands full in addition to these animated-pose-induced crashes.

Although Apex Legends is experiencing crashes, it's heartening to hear that Respawn already identified the culprit - and even more heartening to hear that the issue can be prevented by the players themselves while the development team undergoes its work on a solution. Avoiding the usage of animated epic poses for a little while is an easy sacrifice to play Apex Legends crash-free. Hopefully the issue is promptly resolved, and players can return to posing when Apex Legends' Season 11 begins in early November.
