Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is set in 1998 and sees a group of survivors from a zombie outbreak in the titular Midwestern town exploring the secrets of the mysterious Spencer Mansion and dying Raccoon City to discover the origins of the epidemic and its ties to the malevolent pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation. Written and directed by 47 Meters Down's Johannes Roberts, the film directly adapts the events of the first two Resident Evil gamesResident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is currently gearing up for its release after two previous delays and Sony is looking to keep anticipation high for its arrival.

With just a few days remaining until the film's arrival, Sony Pictures has released a new Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City clip. The video sees Leon encountering the terrifying Lisa Trevor in an unknown building of the titular town. Check out the chilling teaser below:

In the lead up to the film's release, Roberts has discussed the increased importance of Lisa Trevor to the plot of in comparison to the games. Her and Leon's meeting in the new Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City clip does make for an interesting change in her story from the games, where she was situated in the Spencer Mansion in the Arklay forest and fought against STARS Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine though now appears to be located directly in the heart of Raccoon City. Previous marketing for the film has teased her connections to the orphanage Chris and Claire grew up in following the death of their parents, a point which Roberts has noted will be very important to the film's overall plot and Claire's story specifically.

It's also interesting to note the new Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City clip sees Leon calling out to multiple people upon discovering Lisa Trevor. With the plot adapting the first two Resident Evil games and past footage showing Leon with Claire, it could be inferred that he's shouting for Claire, though who the other person is could either be Sherry Birkin or Ada Wong. Only time will tell when Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City hits theaters on November 24.
