Across its three seasons thus far, Resident Alien has delivered the laughs while also raising the stakes with each ing episode, and now season 4 is coming soon. Debuting in 2021 and based on the eponymous comics by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, Resident Alien follows an alien (Alan Tudyk) who is sent to destroy Earth. However, upon assuming the identity of a physician, he begins to grapple with the moral dilemma of wiping out a species he grows to care for.
Scoring high marks from critics since the debut season, Resident Alien is largely carried by the stellar performance of Allan Tudyk who excels at the sort of character work required by such an odd premise. Likewise, the humorous writing of the series is both raunchy and clever, and Harry's decision to change his mind about destroying Earth is earned instead of assumed. With the show so able to change its basic premise on a dime, the future of Resident Alien is brighter than ever, and season 4 will be airing on a new network as well.

Season 4 Is Coming Soon
After a lengthy period of uncertainty regarding the show, the fate of Resident Alien was finally decided in June 2024 when it was renewed for its fourth season. A Change Of Network To Bolster Ratings
Though USA offers the show more audience exposure, the move will also be accompanied by a large budget cut in order to keep the show financially feasible

Though USA offers the show more audience exposure, the move will also be accompanied by a large budget cut in order to keep the show financially feasible. Will Harry Return In Season 4?
Though the full ensemble hasn't been confirmed yet, it is assumed that the main cast of Resident Alien will reprise their roles in season 4. Resident Alien Season 4's New Villain Means It's Even More Important That 1 Character Doesn't Return
Resident Alien season 3 introduced new characters as well as bringing back old faces, but its new villain means one figure needs to stay away for now.
Resident Alien Season 4 Story
Will Harry Escape The Greys?
The ending of Resident Alien season 3 was perhaps the most shocking so far, as Harry's plot to stop the Grey invasion landed him in captivity. After discovering that the moon was actually just a Grey spaceship, Harry attempted to thwart their plans to transform Earth's atmosphere but was captured in the process. Now, season 4 could see the fake Harry (Mantid in disguise) wreaking havoc as the real Harry's allies try to find a way to rescue him from the clutches of the evil Greys.
Furthermore, Mike's discovery that aliens are real will undoubtedly transform his character after years of suspicion, and he might come around to helping Harry's cause. It's been revealed that Harry's father will make an appearance, and the elder alien will try to turn his son back toward evil. It remains to be seen if he will be tempted to go back to his villainous ways. Either way, Resident Alien season 4 will start with Harry in a precarious position, and the destruction of Earth seems more imminent than ever before.
