Nintendo Fans Can Catch Up On Acclaimed Titles

There's A Lot Of Third-Party For Switch 2 At Launch

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition

If this rumor ends up true, Red Dead 2 may several other big third-party games on the Switch 2, providing the perfect opportunity for Nintendo fans to get back up to speed with some of the industry's greatest recent games. The Switch 2 launch is lacking in first-party , with Mario Kart World being the only new title from Nintendo. The rest of the games at launch are either Switch 2 Edition upgrades, ports, or third-party titles.

Being able to play FF7 Remake or Cyberpunk 2077 on the go (and probably one of the best ways to play big titles like that on a handheld device), combined with the rest of the Switch 2 launch line-up and what's been announced for post-launch, could be setting the Switch 2 up to have a lot of third-party success. It remains to be seen if Red Dead Redemption 2 will actually get announced and come over to Nintendo Switch 2, but it doesn't seem that unlikely, with all of these other games coming.
