According to Game Rant, Reddit  u/wd0675 realized that Benjamin Byron Davis plays not only Dutch, but also Native American informant Nastas in the first Red Dead Redemption. Nastas assists John Marston on his quest to capture Dutch by providing John with information. This means that Davis plays the antagonist of the story while also voicing one of the characters attempting to bring Dutch to justice.

Benjamin Byron Davis has actually been voicing LA Noire where he played the character Paul Kadarowski. Finally in 2018, Davis returned to his most famous role in 2018's Red Dead Redemption 2 as Dutch Van Der Linde.

Despite the fact that the original Red Dead Redemption came out more than a decade ago, it seems that players are still discovering new aspects hidden away in the game's code or its continously growing lore. Players have had two comparatively short years with the sequel, which means that Easter eggs and secrets will probably be found for years to come. While Davis' acting roles aren't necessarily a secret, its a testament to his skills as a voice actor that no one realized he voiced both characters while playing the game when it released.
