In A Quiet Place Part II, Hounsou plays an unnamed character, known only as the Man on Island, who makes with the Abbott family and leads them to a secluded, seemingly danger-free island. Though not much is known about his character, the trailer suggests he adapts faster than most in NYC, and that A Quiet Place: Day One will serve as his origin story.

Will The Original Cast Return?

It's not yet known whether or not the original Abbott family will be part of it.

It hasn’t yet been announced whether any of the original A Quiet Place, namely, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, will be returning for the prequel spinoff, but it’s definitely possible. Those characters were certainly around at the same time as this movie's story is taking place, but the fact that they’re so isolated and alone makes things a little more difficult. The complete timeline of A Quiet Place is complicated, but there are certainly moments when of the Abbott Family could interact with these new characters, making room for cameos from John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and/or Noah Jupe in A Quiet Place: Day One.
