Reservoir Dogs, which went on to become a cult film and a classic of independent cinema, opening many doors for Tarantino in the film industry.

Tarantino’s big break arrived two years later with Inglourious Basterds), all of them with those elements that have made his movies stand out, as are his mastery in writing dialogues and, of course, a good dose of blood and violence.

As mentioned above, Tarantino plans to retire after making 10 movies, and as he counts both Kill Bill movies as one, he’s one movie away from retirement. As such, there’s a lot of speculation and expectation over his next project as well as many rumors on what it could be – an adaptation of someone else’s work or an original story – but what’s for sure it’s that it will count on the presence of some of his recurrent collaborators – and here are the actors who must return for Quentin Tarantino’s 10th and final movie.

Samuel L. Jackson

Major Marquis Warren with two guns in Hateful Eight.

Quentin Tarantino has his own list of frequent collaborators, and the one at the top of the list is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, so it would be fitting to have him in Quentin Tarantino’s final movie, either as a main character or a secondary one.

Michael Madsen

Reservoir Dogs Mr Blonde

Another spinoff movie titled Double V Vega, centered on Madsen’s Mr. Blonde/Vic Vega and John Travolta’s Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction. Michael Madsen is one of those actors the audience hopes to see in a Tarantino movie, and he should be back for his final one.

Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman as kThe Bride holding her katana in Kill Bill Vol. 1

Of course, one of the actors that many would expect to see in Quentin Tarantino’s final movie is Uma Thurman, as she was the star of some of his biggest projects. Uma Thurman played Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction, where she starred in the movie’s most famous segment alongside John Travolta and was at the front and center of some of Pulp Fiction's most notable scenes, such as the dance contest at Jack Rabbit Slim’s and the adrenaline shot scene. Thurman reteamed with Tarantino nine years later for Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Volume 2 as the lead character, Beatrix Kiddo/The Bride. Whether Tarantino’s final movie is Kill Bill: Volume 3 or something else, it would be great to see Uma Thurman back in the Tarantino universe.

Tim Roth

Tim Roth as Pumpkin holding a gun and a bag in Pulp Fiction

Just like Michael Madsen, Tim Roth worked with Quentin Tarantino for the first time in Reservoir Dogs, where he played Mr. Orange/Freddy Newandyke, the undercover cop among the group of thieves who was shot during their failed heist, and so he spent the whole movie agonizing while the rest wondered who was the rat among them. Roth returned two years later to the Tarantino universe to play Pumpkin in Pulp Fiction, and his most recent collaborations with Tarantino were in The Hateful Eight (where he played ‘English’ Pete Hicox/Oswaldo Mobray) and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Jay Sebring’s butler), though his scenes in the latter were cut. As one of Quentin Tarantino’s recurrent collaborators who starred in his first movie, it would make sense to have him back for his final movie.

Christoph Waltz

Col Hans Landa making threats in Inglourious Basterds.

Christoph Waltz has only appeared in two of Quentin Tarantino’s movies, but he delivered such memorable and powerful performances that his name is now often associated with Tarantino. Waltz famously played Colonel Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds, for which he won the Academy Award for Best ing Actor in 2009, and he reteamed with Tarantino three years later in Django Unchained, where he played Dr. King Schultz, an ally to Jamie Foxx’s Django, winning his second Oscar in the same category in 2012. Tarantino and Waltz haven’t worked together again since then, and as he has shown his ability to play both a menacing antagonist and an ally, he could play anything and surprise the audience in Tarantino’s 10th and final movie.

Harvey Keitel

Harvey Keitel as Wolf in Pulp Fiction

Harvey Keitel has also appeared in more than one Quentin Tarantino movie, including one that was written by him but directed by Robert Rodriguez (Tarantino’s career during the pre-production of Reservoir Dogs, Harvey Keitel should definitely return to the Tarantino universe for the director’s final movie.

Kurt Russell

Kurt Russell in his car in Death Proof.

Kurt Russell is a somewhat recent frequent collaborator of Quentin Tarantino, but his performances have surely left an impact in this movie universe. Russell starred in Death Proof as Stuntman Mike McKay, and he ed forces with Tarantino again in The Hateful Eight, where he played John Ruth, and in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where he had a minor role as Randy Lloyd and The Narrator. Kurt Russell would be a great addition to Quentin Tarantino’s 10th and final movie, as just like the above-mentioned actors, he has become one that viewers expect to see in a Tarantino movie, even if he’s a recent addition to his peculiar universe.
