The PlayStation Plus free games for June have been revealed, along with the return of the PlayStation Days of Play sale, which will see huge discounts on a bunch of titles, including some must-play games. Subscribers also have until June 2 to the May free games, which include the 2024 smash-hit Balatro, Ark: Survival Ascended, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.
According to a post from PlayStation Blog, the free PS Plus games for June will be NBA 2K25, Along in the Dark (2024), Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and Destiny 2: The Final Shape. All the titles will be available on June 3, except for Destiny 2, which will be available on May 28.
In an additional post from PlayStation Blog, the Days of Play sale returns to the PlayStation Store on May 28 and lasts until June 11. The full list of discounted games will be available when the dedicated PlayStation Store promotion page goes live, but there are a lot of games being discounted, and this blog post is "a preview of some of the titles" that will be on sale.
PlayStation Plus Games For June
An Expansion To A Popular MMO, A Survival Horror Game, And More
There is quite a lot of variety for the free June games. Destiny 2: The Final Shape served as a large expansion to the free-to-play MMO and was also the closing chapter of the Light and Dark Saga of the long-running game. In our perfect-score review of The Final Shape, Screen Rant wrote: "Bungie has significantly lowered the barrier of entry for emotional and cumulative experiences in a final mission that hits all the right notes, even for players who haven't played any Destiny 2 expansions."
Alone in the Dark (2024) is a reimagining of the original 1992 title that helped define the survival horror genre, but the modern game has several differences from the original. Players control Emily or Edward in two different campaigns that feature different cutscenes and levels. The game received mixed reviews at release, and developer Pieces Interactive was shuttered after it failed to meet sales expectations.

I’m An Xbox Game Subscriber Who Thinks PlayStation Plus Is Actually The Better Service
Pound for pound, Sony’s PlayStation Plus service includes more hits from more eras of gaming. Why doesn’t it get the same love as Xbox Game ?
NBA 2K25 is the latest basketball sports simulation game from Visual Concepts and 2K. The game introduced the "Steph Era" in the MyNBA mode, which focuses on the 2016-2017 NBA season. Finally, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio, and allows players to navigate the fictional New Amsterdam city on skateboards and bikes and perform tricks. The game received generally positive reviews, but some reviewers criticized its similarities to Jet Set Radio.
Days Of Play Is A Great Time To Pick Up New Games
This Is A Large Sale
The PlayStation Days of Play sale may be one of the best times of the year to pick up some discounted games. Some of the major titles getting discounted are Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, WWE 2K25, Astro Bot, and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. PlayStation offers sales pretty regularly, but Days of Play is one of the biggest sales of the year, so it might be a good time to pick up some of these titles.
With four new free games coming and a huge sale that will discount hundreds of games, it's a good time to be a PlayStation fan and a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Hopefully, with so much discounted and free content, PlayStation fans will find something to enjoy this summer.
