Read 'Em And Weep was written by the great Jim Steinman and originally recorded by Meatloaf in the late 70s. Barry Manilow coveted it in 1984 complete with a video of a stage acting troupe with Barry as a harlequin. Barry's version was better than Meatloaf's, which is saying a lot, because Meatloaf was peak Meatloaf at the time.
