Yes, I would've loved for the anime's story to be the exact same as the games. You know, the games that I can go and play and experience right now?

If you wanted a 1-1 then go back and play them lmao. This is just like the small pocket of people that were pissed off that Twisted Metal had a apocalyptic setting.

When a game adaptation comes out it should be done in one of two ways... Either A, it's used as a medium to expand the story. Or B, it's used as a means to reinterpret the story. Repackaging it in a way that works better in a episodic format.

You know what shouldn't be done? Retelling the same exact story, because that's a waste of everyone's time. If I wanted everything to be the EXACT same, then I'd just go play the games. Why would I want to sit and watch hours of the exact thing I already know everything about?
