"comes the benefit of George R.R. Martin ensuring he gets it right"
I think it's finish to assume that spending more time on something will make it better. More often than not, the more someone messes with something, the worse it gets.
The Pitt Episode 14 Review: I Really Hope Robby Doesn’t Break Again After A Big Surprise Sets Up A Nailbiting Final Hour
Before anything else, I want to say how amazingly--and at times, uncomfortably--accurate The Pitt is. That said...
Any cop who would arrest an ER doctor in the immediate aftermath of a mass casualty event is a disgrace to the badge (as the son of a cop, a Veteran from a family who's served continuously since the Revolution, and a former ER tech, I have the absolute authority to make such a statement). And I am not surprised in the least that a random beat cop would do exactly that. It's funny how little respect my father has for police these days despite having been one. There is no thought placed on spirit of the law these days. Dr McKay placed the lives of her patients above all else. And the system doesn't hesitate to punish her.
What's more screwed up is that if the arresting officers showed up just a few minutes earlier, the National Guard staff at the hospital would likely have had those unthinking and shameful excuses for officers (note the little "o") up against a wall. Especially considering that Dr Abbott is a Veteran himself.
I guess this serves to underscore the realism of the show, but I hope it also gets people thinking about how terribly damaged it justice system is.

Domino masks are what Zoro and Robin wear. The continuous piece of cloth with eye holes is closer to a banana. Ryo is right on this.
"Everything That Could Go Wrong Did Go Wrong": Lionsgate Addresses Borderlands' Disastrous Box Office Performance
Yeah, it was COVID and interest rates, not poor casting decisions, significant changes from the source material, or "softening" an M-rated have for a PG-13 audience that hurt its reception 🙄
Borderlands Rating Hints That Movie Adaptation Might Not Be As Violent As The Game
I think the movie is going to bomb. The rating is certainly part of the issue. A big factor in Borderlands' appeal is the comically excessive violence. But there are also the casting issues. Roland is tall and physically imposing; a career military man. Kevin Hart is a great actor, but Michael B Jordan would have been a better fit. Cate Blanchett is likewise amazing, but she's more than double Lilith's age in the first game. The movie is going to break too significantly from the source material to do the games any justice. I'm going to until I see reviews that are just mindlessly pandering to whatever arbitrary reason the "creatives" used to justify not being remotely true to the games. If the fans think the movie is good in spite of these issues, I might check it out. If the critics heap on praise because of them, I'll be glad I didn't go to the theater
