I believe Jim is still alive and yellow monster did warn Jim in the 1st season. Jim is not the one with all the knowledge. They all are received knowledge and need to come 2gether and discuss what they know. Now since Tab and Chris know they are the parents of at least 1 of that anghlooey kids. They could be the monsters who have eternal life. Therefore, the parents who sacrificed their kids in Fromville are the monsters who was promised eternal life. Hence, smiley reborn and them returning to Fromville. Yellow monster is the leader who can walk in daylight. Heck, let's catch 1 of the other monsters in the daylight to see what happens.
