Why does Hollywood keep messing with beloved franchises? I was looking forward to this Narnia series- til now. Meryl Streep as Aslan??? No. She'd make a great White Witch, but leave Aslan alone. Are you telling me there's not a single male actor worthy of taking on this role? C'mon. I guess I'll just keep rewatching the BBC and Disney versions. What a shame. I really wanted to I see The Magician's Nephew as it hasn't been done before. I quit Star Wars, didn't watch Snow White, am no longer going to watch the new Harry Potter since race swapping Snape will add a whole new racism element to the story that wasn't there. My one hope was for this series but it's getting screwed too. I'm done.
