See AllThe Two Rarest Items In Stardew Valley You Should Never Donate To The Museum
Didn't even know you could donate the dino eggs, I was so excited to throw that first one in an incubator. Also didn't know about the sword, so I know what I'm doing next time I play.
Beauty & The Beast's Real Villain Isn't Gaston Or The Beast, And It Took Me 34 Years Of Loving Disney To See It
Funny you brought up the word "toxic," because Gaston is the epitome of that, decades before the term "toxic masculinity" was ever used.
He demeaned everything Belle liked and only wanted to be with her because of her looks. He wanted to force Belle to marry him and have "6 or 7" sons. She said no. So he kidnapped her father with the intent of locking him in an asylum.
He was never the hero. Men like him are not heroes. You can be a "man's man" and not hate women so badly that you only see them as pretty breeding machines to be used however you see fit.
After Reading Mistborn Era 2, I've Finally Realized What's Wrong With Vin & Elend's Romance
Wax is in his 40s and Steris in her late 20s, vs Vin and Elend being teenagers when they met. Trust issues weren't glossed over, Vin spent years refusing to marry Elend. There are time skips between each book in the first arc, and not everything is written down.
Narnia's Meryl Streep Casting Rumors Mark An Important First For Greta Gerwig's Reboot
Strongly agree. She's a great actress, and I'm not interested in watching it at all anymore.
The Narnia Remake's Meryl Streep Casting Plan Will Be Controversial, But It Eases One Of My Biggest Fears About The Project
It's not bold, it's just moronic. I'm okay with gender swapping characters when it makes sense. This is a case where it's so far from making sense and is obviously only being done to cause controversy. It spits in the face of the original story, of its author, of the messages and meaning even beyond the Christ allegory (and if they're trying to strip the series of its religious references, they may as well scrap the whole project now).
Aslan is a LION. The cutting of his mane in LWW is a demoralizing, power stripping act that would be meaningless if he were a lioness without a mane. He is the KING of Narnia, and again the fact that he is a male with a mane makes that symbolism powerful.
I was interested to see where this new series would go but if it's just going to be flashy showy nonsense with changes made just for the sake of looking different from the books, I'm not interested and I'm willing to bet it'll die out like all the other adaptations before.
There's 1 Problem With Starting Greta Gerwig's Narnia Reboot Where C.S. Lewis Intended
This! Lewis never said he preferred chronological!
