So I guess I am the only one who sees a massively missed opportunity for the right fit for Professor Snape. I really think the best person to portray him is Rowan Atkinson. Watch seasons 2 and 3 of Black Adder and you will see what I mean. Rowan Atkinson is Slytherin material. A second option that would also be great is Andrew Scott from Ripley and Sherlock. I love John Lithgow but another alternative for Dumbledore would be Mark Gatiss from Sherlock. It is painfully obvious that "Hollywood" is more interested in filling quota for Diversity than being accurate to the source material and fanbase.
