Yeah, this was one of King's weakest stories, imo. The story is mean-spirited and treats the main character like the villain when that was exactly the people he dispatches using Christine as his tool of vengeance. Instead, his abs (who nearly murder him in the beginning) are the ones portrayed as innocent victims; the jock and cheerleader ending up as the heroes who vanquish the dastardly villain.

It's certainly one story which Tabitha King should've made Stephen rewrite.
