The episode The Terror Beyond was an Easter Egg homage to the Marvel Comics group The Defenders. The original defenders were The Hulk, The Submariner, and Dr. Strange. Their DC counterparts are respectively Solomon Grundy, Aquaman, and Dr.Fate.

I felt that the show was great. The reason I think it was cancelled was because when you read comments about the show, people are so worried about tying up loose ends from the old show, they didn't give the new cast a chance. I get it, I miss the old cast too, but this show wasn't about them.

Bo Katan did mention her sister in an episode of Rebels. She was upset when she found out that the weapon Sabine created for the empire, was named after her sister. Sabine called it the Duchess.

It's funny that since the cancellation of The Acolyte, a lot of articles are popping up talking about George Lucas' mistakes in his own creation. It was his and should be allowed to change anything he wanted to.

Let's face it, ever since they acquired Star Wars, Disney has made it it's mission to destroy everything George Lucas put into place. First they deemed all outside content non cannon and renamed it legends,then have the nerve to pilfer from that content. They practically tried to wipe out the Skywalker saga and the fans seen clear through that. I've seen better fan made movies on YouTube with way smaller budgets. Then they have the nerve to cry racism when the most popular character of all time has been voiced by a black man since 1977. Just take the loss and give George Lucas his property back.
