I was a teen when Friday Night Videos premiered. I was a newlywed when we watched the first video on MTV. I stood with a baby on my hip in a arcade/restaurant, with a packed house on Capitol Hill in Seattle, to see the premiere of Thriller. I was there for all of it. I was a 20something in Seattle. I took my son to Cobain's memorial at the Seattle Center, the same child I had on my hip 11 years earlier for Thriller. I went to raves with Candlebox and others Seattle bands.

I'm 61yrs old now. My grandkids don't even know what a VJ is, lol. I still continue to collect new music, but there aren't many bands anymore. Now is the era of solo artist.
