See AllHorizon: An American Saga Chapter 2 Review – 6 Hours In & Costner’s Western Still Seems Like TV [Venice]
I thoroughly enjoyed the first Horizon movie and can't imagine not seeing this epic movie on anything other than a large movie screen. The cinematography the movie captures is breathtaking and gives one the feeling that they are experiencing what the pioneers were feeling of that time.
Can't wait for Horison II to come out! Hopefully back in movie theaters, where it belongs!
At Least Horizon 2 Won't Repeat The First Movie's Most Surprising Kevin Costner Mistake
I brought my son to the large cinema to see Horizon in the hopes he would have the same experience I had I when first watched "How The West Was Won" on the big screen! I wasn't disappointed!
Personally, I thought there was enough drama, character development and cinima to keep us occupied, where I didn't really think too much bout þþþ⁴when Kevin Costner would arrive... But honestly, we both did enjoy the movie that much more once Mr. Costner has was added to the movie's cast
Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2 Review – 6 Hours In & Costner’s Western Still Seems Like TV [Venice]
Yes, I agree that Horizon would have been more easily understood, broken up as a TV miniseries. I know this by having a much better understanding of the different plots and timeline after watching a second time.
However, the magnificent cinematography, more amplified than most other great Westerns would have never been as much appreciated as in watching on the large theater screen!
I sat with my son and the 3 hours went by very quickly... Truly haven't been this inspired and excited by a Western movie since "How The West Was Won", which I watched with the same awe, as when I was only 13!
Hopefully Horizon 3 will make it to the big screen as the previous 2, so the magnificent different landscapes can be as much appreciated! The cinematography has many different and fantastic angles, that would be lost on the smaller tc screen. Even my 85" Sony didn't have the same effect, as when seen at the theaters.
Understandably, Mr. Costner has a heavy line to tow... Being first generation American, coming from an Italian heritage, I always had a longing to have a true understanding of our country's past. Looking at the small group at the theater made me understand how much our country has changed throughout the years, with much more diversity than in my past. Hopefully some will have the same yearning as I did as a youngster! Being as frozen in anticipation as when I first watched How The West Was Won!
Why Horizon: An American Saga Failed at the Box Office
My son was up from Florida for the weekend and I'd been waiting to take him to this epic movie Horizon!
The cinematography blew us away. After establishing the several different, but connecting storylines , we sat back and thoroughly enjoyed the entire movie! Time flew by effortlessly Definitely a 4 star movie and a must see on the large screen!
Experiencing this magnificent, well acted and directed movie of the history of our county's past, I was shocked at the lack of interest in the public...
Why another average DC movie has incredible numbers and this movie hasn't is truly baffling to me... I have to just assume that there are less Americans interested in our great counties past history and its western development, both thoroughly and beautifully portrayed by Kevin Cosner.
Thank you for taking the time and extreme effort for all to enjoy!
Can't wait for the second movie to come out!
