See All"I’m Just Going To Get The Elephant In The Room Out Of The Way": Spike Actor James Marsters Responds To Buffy The Slayer Reboot Series
It's so easy to incorporate Spike into the new series. Just say he was rewarded with his humanity after earning back his soul and sacrificing himself for the world. I know he came back in the show Angel, but still, he did do these things; he did wear the medallion and became a hero. He has a soul which he fought to recover. He overcame the monster inside. I'd say he earned his humanity.
I'd rather have an aged, human, William "Spike" Pratt as Buffy's human husband, over a random new human character, or Buffy having ended up alone. Let's not forget that at one point, I'm sure it was season 5, Buffy expressed her fear that being the Slayer was hardening her; she feared that she might never find love. Buffy didn't want to end up alone; she wanted to love and be loved, so I'd find it unfair if, after all she's been through, she's still struggling to find love in her late 40s. I want her to have had a life full of the love she wished for, since we last saw her, with someone worthy who can stand side by side with her and love her unconditionally, and the only one to fill that spot is Spike. Well, if you ask me.
I'm Not Surprised That Beetlejuice 3 Is Happening, But I Wouldn't Mind If The Sequel Got Delayed To Hit This Special Anniversary
Nooo, I need this movie like NOW 😂. Fall of 2026 at the latest. lol
Beetlejuice 3: Confirmation & Everything We Know
...Nope. This would NOT work without the Deetz family. There is already a good, strong plotline they could follow with Lydia and Astrid: now that it's clear that both of them have the ability to interact with the dead, wouldn't it be a solid idea for a plot for them to want to reconnect with Lydia's biological mother, who now we know is still alive? It's clear this ability is inherited by Lydia's family bloodline. They don't need to have problems between them for there to still be a conflict worth looking into. Lydia and Astrid may want answers as to where their abilities come from and how to manage them better. As we saw in BJBJ, Lydia hasn't handled a life of interacting with ghosts very well (she needs meds, has anxiety, etc). And as for Beetlejuice's presence in the plot, hello! It's so easy: he's still in love with Lydia and isn't letting her go. He was still haunting her at the end of the movie. He's going to be around Lydia whatever plot they go for. My best idea for a third movie would be something like that, Lydia and Astrid reconnect with Lydia's mother, some underworld shenanigans ensue (maybe Lydia's mom is evil and she wants to use Astrid and Lydia's connection to the Netherworld for something, who knows? lol), then Beetlejuice, Lydia and Astrid team up again and save the day. This time Lydia and Beetlejuice end up as friends and he is redeemed and can move on. Flash forward to the future and we see them together in the afterlife. Bam. There's a script idea, Burton. No need to pay me or acknowledge me, just make a good movie. 😂🙏🏻
David Boreanaz Reignites The Angel vs. Spike Debate On Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Social Media As Buffy The Vampire Slayer Reboot Progresses
I think both Angel and Spike deserve to have turned human in the long run, but ultimately, Spike should be Buffy's partner. I just think think they stand side by side as equals, and and understand each other in a way Angel and Buffy just never could. Angel left Buffy when things got difficult, instead if staying to figure it out; Spike left Buffy to regain his soul and become a better man for her, and then he returned. Both of them hurt Buffy horribly, and both felt shame and horror with what they did, but I think Spike taking action to redeem himself whilst being a demon, speaks loudly for the man he was; despite being a soulless vampire he understood he needed to change and went out to fight for his soul. I know, Angel leaving Buffy because it was the right thing to do is a noble action, but if he truly did love her, why not stay and try to figure things out? What if he could even find a way to break free from being a vampire? He could have stayed and avoided getting physical with her, Idk, but he left. Buffy spent more time with Spike in the end, than she did with Angel in this show, and I think if they were going to bring either of them back for the new series, it truly should be Spike. In the end, HE was her endgame love interest. Their relationship needs to at least be addressed.
No, Betelgeuse & Lydia Shouldn’t End Up Together In Beetlejuice 3, But The Sequel Should Copy A Franchise Twist From Over 30 Years Ago
No effing way. They better end up together!! Beetlejuice 2 so set this romance up and I want that payoff. Third time's the charm! They will finally be tying the knot in the third film, mark my words. These two make an odd pair and Tim Burton and his fans love this kind of pair. Personally, I love it. They're both mature/old now, let them dance into the sunset together in all their "strange and unusual" glory. Let me remind you that this is fantasy. Fiction. In the world of weird, oddball fantasy, ANYTHING is possible. Lydia will bicker and bicker about Beetlejuice but she'll grow fond of him in Beetlejuice 3. (*Edited for a couple of typos)
Tim Burton's Next Movie, A Remake Of A 66-Year-Old Sci-Fi, Has To Buck A Career Trend To Continue His Comeback After Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Tim Burton should make Beetlejuice 3 and leave the Attack of the 50 foot woman for later... I think he should ride the hype train with Beetlejuice and give Beetlejuice's story a solid ending in a third and final film. Lots of people are asking for it (honestly I never saw this many people asking for a sequel in my life!), so there's already a huge demand for the movie making it almost a guaranteed success, while Attack of the 50' woman... Idk maybe hardcore scifi fans are excited for it, but I know I'm not 😅. I wish he chooses to focus on Beetlejuice 3. It's almost a guaranteed success that will make a lot of people happy. Michael Keaton already said he'd be happy to do it and I'm sure Winona Ryder will say a big YES as well, and so will the rest of the cast. I hope Burton doesn't wait too long though; he needs to say yes and get on the hype train asap.
