This show is struggling. Its premier characters seem very weak, and the laugh track doesn’t help. Montana Jordan’s character is not Ian Armitage’s. And, then we have Mandy’s brother as an extraneous distraction.

The plot lines struggle. The dramatic undertow is also weak. This show tries too hard.
